The four key bands on my bill would be X, The Blasters, The Knitters & The Sadies

X- Doe, Cervenka, Zoom, Bonebrake
The Blasters- Dave Alvin, Phil Alvin, Bazz, Bateman
The Knitters- Doe, Cervenka, Dave Alvin, Bonebrake, Bartel

and John Doe cut an album with the Sadies this year... so they are all intertwined. Plus Doe could do some solo acoustic stuff.

Amazon, my friend. Or try Rocking Horse if you're in Brisbane. They were re-issued on Rhino Records a few years back and are pretty easy to find.

I recommend the first 4 albums (Los Angeles, Wild Gift, Under The Big Black Sun, More Fun In The New World) highly with Wild Gift being my favorite... the other three are good without being as great as the others... of course if ye can't be arsed buying all of them you can just invest in The Best: Make The Music Go Bang... or Beyond & Back: The X Anthology which is more demos/unreleased/live cuts etc.

I saw Doe by himself in Melbourne this past March and he did "Poor Girl" and I almost lost my sh*t! f**king brilliant song.... probably one of my favorite X songs.

Get the f**k out of here!!!!!! When, when when? I'd give body parts to see STP. I remember they were within a stray pube of coming here for 2002 Big Day Out but Weiland being the gobsh*te he was relapsed and had to go clean himself up again... and while we're on the subject, my fav STP video EVER...

You sir, have taste.... those 4 are worth the price of admission alone. Still gutted from when Social D pulled out of Soundwave in 2008.

Nobody would ever invite Social Distortion to Australia after their history. As sad as it is, I can say with all certainty that they will NEVER tour Australia.

I have seen all the ones I highlighted and they are all really solid live. Pennywise could have been better though.
