I've thought about this for a while........and I reckon this could be the answer to all the lifting and niggling in all the tackles.
Make one on one tackles around the legs dominant.Give the tackler time to lie on the player and get up and his players onside.
At the moment it is actually bad to do a legs tackle...the player is taken out of the defensive line and the bloke gets up and plays the ball very quickly.
So obvious players are discouraged from doing this and now we see the bi products,lifting,twisting,wrestling.....and we miss the art of the one on one......i used to love blokes like Wayne Pearce,Dave Gillespie and even Luke Lewis chopping someone down with a beautifully timed tackle.....and u can hurt peeps too.
I would love to see this implemented and fast.
Thoughts?
