A great addition to our side!!....he will provide alot of what we will miss with Solomona gone....i have no doubt with a full off season up his sleeze and far superior coaching techniques at Parra he could well be one of the buys of the year, great strength with terrific ball skills.

Dean Widders will struggle to make the first division side with the inclusion of Mal!

Damien Kelly confirmed with me about a week ago that we were talking to him. He is a very interesting buy [if we do infact buy him]

If you remember he had a big 2002 with Manly and then due to visa problems he was deported. With his wife and kid still in Australia he apparently didn't train most of the offseason before he came back and was snapped up by the Vaucluse Vulchures, He was way behind the eight ball before the start of this year and with a bloke his size he couldn't really afford to take any time of from training. He will be much better prepared next year.

The competition for spots in the front 6 and even on the bench will be stronger than ever I can remember, I won't even hesitate to say we will have one of if not the most feared pack, and like little boy on christmas eve. I can't wait!!!

I want to see Vella work work work. His free ride is over and their are 8 other monsters in the team wanting to take his spot. Last year the pack was really thin and those injuries to Vella,Cayless and Hindy were cruel, next season we will cater for injuries if they do happen.

Does anyone know when Vellas contract is over??????? I reckon the same thing will happen to him as what happened to Hodgson, either take a huge paycut or bye bye.

I've been told the two players that have stood out like nothing else are Cannings [who is breaking speed barriers] and Muspratt.

RJ, I don't know whether you were at the launch night or not but both Widdo and Hindy look extremely fit. I think Dean's real danger is the christmas break, lets hope we warn some takeaway shops at Armidale to be aware if Big Dean approach's

Speaking of "gut feelings" something inside tells me that Micky is going to have a big one next year.

Big Mal!! has the ability to be an absolute gun or go missing for the rest of the year as he did last year with good reason. However I'll researve my judgment on Mal when we see him in the trials. I think that'll be a clear indicator of we he stands at the club.

Upuntil now I had a few doubts on our purchases -a lot of also rans but no real premiership winners. I guess kafusi fits that category also, but it's just the last piece of the jigsaw.

I wasn't at the launch but regardless of how they looked i have my doubts over Widders as a player...he is far to inconsistent & when runing at opposing forwards he makes next to no ground what so ever plus?? i don't rate his defense.

Im hoping Mick V has an injury free year and we see him back to his best, sure he comes under alot of critisism including me but? on his day he can be dynamic & headache to opposing sides.

Let's all hope Mick V shows his 2001 form next year.

On his day Vella can be dynamic but since 2001 he has had very few of those days. I believe he has taken it easy since then with nobody really threatening his posy. Next year things will change Smith has clearly had enough of his teams lack of go forward power and by signing the players he has, this has sent out a message to the players such as Vella that your spot is not Guaranteed. The last good game I can remember Vella having was that semi against Brisy in 2002 thats a long time between drinks.

I've heard of them but don't know them from a bar of soap and don't seem able to find any info on them.
