Wb1234 made a claim that the ARL could make $20m from the event. I asked him to simply justify how he came up with that figure. Does Wb1234 know something we don't? Is he privy to the ARL's books and can share it with the rest of us?If you hadn`t noticed we are in a code war in this country competing for the best young talent. The fumbles attempted to lure Tom Trbojevic, Stephen Chrichton, amongst others when they were young. And we continually see the union mob spruiking their international profile.
Anything that that convinces young sportspeople to stick with our code, maybe even give it a go in non-traditional states is a positive side benefit and worth mentioning as far as I`m concerned.
You mention a code war which I agree with you. However, what is the relevance to the 20m? Or are you trying to deflect as you know it's just a made up figure?
I see that Wb1234 has responded in the thread since I posed the question and was happy to say that he doubts the event costs 7m and how long people would stay for and spend but can't answer a simple question of how he came up with the 20m figure.
He earlier said there would be 40k people spending 10k each meaning it would generate 400m for Vegas and then said 5k is a lowball spend for 2 weeks per person. I don't know about you, but it just seems that he is making up numbers.
