Would have been good to get him, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over this. Besides, it's not for 12 months anyway. A lot of things can happen in 12 months.

Maloney now for next year would be a good signing, Maloney in 12 months time could be an entirely different beast. God forbid, but if he went down with an ACL or something this year, knowing that you had signed him up for 2013 based on 2011 performance you'd be pretty pissed. Though I'm sure the Roosters would have factored that in.
