I would love to see Manly & the Rorters equal last/wooden spooners I have never forgotten what they did to the Bunnies in the 70's ok I am a old bugger turning 70 this Wednesday.

Matai was close to Manly's best, not sure what game you watched.

DCE should spend some time in reggies, keeping him in FG isn't doing them any favours. Jake Trobjevic has been great and will continue to get better, Mason is one that is trying his arse off. Buhrer is patchy and Symonds was good until he had to move out of the back row due to Tom Trobjevic's injury.

Take players of the quality of Brett Stewart and Jamie Lyon out of any team and they're going to struggle. Having 2 halves that don't want to be there and it's a recipe for disaster.

Toovey needs to make the big call and drop DCE to show everyone that reputation doesn't guarantee anyone a run.

f**k me some Manly fans are ignorant when it comes to DCE and Foran.

Foran has always been a favourite player of mine, but he is the one not putting in the effort and playing like a little bitch, DCE is out of form yes, but he is giving it a red hot go at least.

Stuff the pair of them I say.

DCE may be putting in on the field at times, but if whispers are right he is trying to convince Gutherson to ditch Manly and head up to Coke Town with him. If that is true, then enjoy NSW Cup pal.

And Foran, well yes, he is a dog. Go to another club if you like, but to so obviously phone in his performances this year shows his true colours. Devoid of any class at all. How could you look your team mates in the eye??

Going to be a looong season, but hopefully we get some cattle back on the paddock to keep away from that bloody spoon!

So you don't think an out of form player should be dropped? DCE has played one good game (arguably just a single good half a game). Brett Stewart has held the team together as best he could before his injury but missing Matai and/or Lyon has made it difficult to carry dud halves.

It's only served to prove DCE is absolutely useless behind a beaten pack. Showed it in Origin last year and further proven this year.

But hey, the Titans are going to sign Lussick. Good luck with that.

Brett Stewart is a massive issue within the club - he is the ring leader in the lets get Toovey sacked campaign. He is a fine player, but a turd of human being. I'm hearing, from an ex Manly player in the media, he isn't even injured, just doesn't want to play for Manly until Toovey is sacked.

Funny how he got injured just before Manly played a game against a depleted Penrith team, a team that Manly could actually have beaten if he played...:sarcasm:

DCE is hardly the problem at Manly at the moment. its the injury toll that is really hurting.

Not in my opinion. I think it's our forwards first. Manly used to be known as the pack that would bash their way out of trouble. Since Kite, King, even big men like T-Rex & Rose left. It's been all down hill. You can have as many Foran's & DCE's you like, but without big men making hard yards, you have nothing.

Add to that, the disharmony, players leaving, ageing stars and injuries. And we are exactly were I predicted Manly to be. I don't see it turning around any time soon.
