Manly is a one man team

I have been vindicated again. When Stewart is in the side, the whole team clicks.
Leave him out, and they struggle.

Your point is?
He was bought by Manly's excellent player acquisition team to do a job, and he does it.

You say it like it's a bad thing.

Facts are, every team in the top 8 should be looking over their shoulder at us. We are coming for you all. 9th right now (and I realise there are more games to go this weekend).

C'mon Cloud 9, you need to stop going on about this or you'll end up like Daddycool said. Don't join their ranks as a Manly attacker.

I hate to say I told you so. I have been vindicated for the third time. This is getting ad nauseam.

Parra are a one-man team, they havent won since Finch left. Warriors are a one-man team, they lost two games without Price. Sharks are a one-man tea, they havent won since Ross got injured.

Wins for Manly this season with Stewart playing: 2-2

Wins for Manly this season without Stewart playing: 0-6

How many more do they have to lose without him before it's oficially confirmed that Manly are indeed a one man team? (if it hasn't been already) Maybe a pants down hiding to the broncs next week?

Oh my ..

We're only 8 rounds in, but it's already getting to the stage where it is not even mathematically possible for Manly and Cronulla, both equal first in the regular season in 2008, to make the top 8 in 2009.

I really feel for them :cry:

I think your maths is off.

I have a serious question, did anyone think of Manly as a one man team before this season??

Newcastle were the very definition of a one man team when Goey Johns was playing, bookies would suspend betting at the slightest hint of him not playing on the weekend and they couldnt win a chook raffle unless he was there. Just so the Knights fans don't get all shirty ill mention that the Cowboys are thought of as a two man team with Thurston and Bowen, in fact there have been quite a few other sides over the years who certainly fit the "one/two man team" mould. But before this season, did anyone think that Manly was one of them? i didnt but gee's its become painfully obvious all of a sudden.

I don't really think of 'em as a 1 man team. They have class all over but it's Stewart that scores their tries and provides all the razzle dazzle.... as any good fullback should.

The whole Stewart saga is impacting their season. It's as plain as day but there's obviously other factors in play too.

I think my point went right over your head :?

Your point being two of the top teams of 2008 having a horrific start to 2009 and being good things to miss the 8? I got that. Neither are yet near being mathematically gone, hence your maths is off.

Since we barely got a glimpse of them without Brett, I didn't. I really didn't think he was this vital to their team.

Says alot when a fullback is more vital to a teams success than a halfback.
LOL @ Matt Orford.....he is luckier than Shane Perry in winning a GF.

Ok, Manly Scum. Let's face facts.

2008 is ancient history. Let's look at teh present and teh future.

Manly and 2009? Focus for teh Manly Scum is on avoiding the woooden spoon.

Manly have always been a one man club.
For 20 years, it was Arkole running the league to suit Manly.
Now, it's Snake. Without him, even Anthony "Coins" Watmong and Ox (or Calf) Orford can't prevent Manly from being pathetic.

2009 will be a great year - for the Manly Scum to finally get their come-uppance!

However, I agree that we should stop talking about Manly. Let's focus on the talented, progressive clubs that will play finals footy. That excludes the Manly Scum immediately.
