Pfft.

Travis Burns = real playmaker.

The only reason he isn't in first grade is because Monaghan is there.

I hardly think anyone who's team is yet to win can criticise anothers.

Well considering that you criticised us first...

Travis Burns is no better than Kidley or Steve Witt. He's behind Jye Mullane first. And we all know the might and skill of Big Jye

If supporters of struggling teams can't comment on the game, then you wouldn't have mady any posts before the start of this season.

He's behind Jye Mullane?

Jye is on the bench for Premier League...He played at Fullback on the weekend.

Hardly a play maker wouldn't you say?

Steve Witt over Travis Burns?

You have got to be kidding.

Kurt Gidley-18th man for Origin just last year.

or

Travis Burns-Youngster who hasn't cracked first-grade yet.

I know who I'd take in an inexperienced team.

Supporters of a struggling team? A team that has been in the top 8 since round 1. A team that has been in the #1 position more than once since round 1. A team that has numerous players playing representative football this Friday?

I'm not saying we're premiership favourites, or even contendors. But to call 05 Manly struggling is ridiculous.

If you actually read my post even once you'd see that I emphasised that Manly were doing well this year. Read it again.

Um.. nobody said anything about Gidley. I was talking about Witt. Of course I know Gidley is a better player than Burns, although his recent form is below average.

Seriously Johns Magic grow up.

I hate people who blame injuries for losses. Rugby League isn't a 17 man game, the team that wins the comp is the team who has the best squad of players. Bottom line is your club puts 17 contracted footballers on the park every week. I don't care if they are all Flegg players or internationals, thats what your club has chosen.

Maybe if Newcastle hadnt spent a quarter of their cap on one player who is 30+ and injury prone you wouldnt be in this situation.

Not offensive at all. Why would I be? That's hardly going to insult me when it's something six year olds say?

Johns said it because he was overjoyed with winning a premiership.

You said it because you are overjoyed with being a supporter of a team coming 4th after 10 rounds.

But he's a genuine playmaker. I said Gidley or Steve Witt.

Agreed....

A top football side is a side that has at least 25 first grade players. Not 17.

TN, I never came in here to seek sympathy for injuries. I came in here to defend my team against opposition fans who are blatantly disregarding the fact that we are not at full-strength. If we consistently had our top team on the field we would have won a few games by now.

As for the sentences in bold, we hardly "chose" a team. We were forced to put on a bunch of players who weren't ready yet.

500K is not a quarter of 3.25 million. Its not even a sixth.

But we have had so many players missing. We had 13 missing last week.

That leaves only 12 of our top 25 left. That can't even fill a starting team. Not to mention we lost Tilse too for the whole season.
