I was more refering to the high profile commentators.cram said:Listening to the Radio yesterday arvo I heard the Knights twice mentioned as contenders. One was by Paul Langmack and the other by a Penrith player (can't remember his name) who is off to the Gold Coast.
Yep I think you are on the money there.Voice of Reason said:Good luck with that one Tony!!!! The expression "you are only as good as your last game" translated into "Hagan-I,ve got no idea what to do-speak" is "you are only as good as I think you are". I think Hagans best friends Kidley and Thiaday are certain starters on Friday night with Mullo cooling his heals on the bench. I think we will also see Tanner and Lowrie keeping Jarrod company there too.
You're not playing them, we are.Big_Bad_Shark_Fan said:I think we can take them.

Oh, that's right- between '98 and '04 you only managed to scrape into a single finals series when you finished '98 in 10th place. Can't believe it took you 7 years to get over a single loss:lol:
Na your memory is very clouded. Doogs tripped over Tooveys head, (Toovey was lying on the ground exhausted after all the whinging he'd been doing to the ref) and the Knights were all tested after the game and were clean. The drug test you're refering to was on Wayne Richards some time later when he used them to hurry the recovery of a knee injury.Ryan said:All I remember about 97 was that some dirty player stomped on poor old Toovs head, and it was found out after the game that a number of Knights were on the roids...

Nothing worse than a bandwagoner...Big_Bad_Shark_Fan said:I think we can take them.

When Toovs spends 80 minutes on the field because your halves aren't good enough to direct play themselves, tell him to watch out for our wingers ;-)Ryan said:All I remember about 97 was that some dirty player stomped on poor old Toovs head, and it was found out after the game that a number of Knights were on the roids...
LINKManly boosted by Dunley's availability
Monday, September 4, 2006 - 12:56 PM
Manly received a welcome break with hooker Shane Dunley likely to play in Friday's first NRL qualifying final against Newcastle despite being charged with a dangerous throw.
Dunley can avoid a ban with an early guilty plea to the grade one charge arising from the loss to Melbourne on Saturday night.
Dunley was the only player charged from the final round of the regular season as speculation that Parramatta hooker Mark Riddell could face a striking charge amounted to nought.
