Mark Gasnier to retire...

As a Tigers fan I welcome this news. Gasnier scored tries against us for fun, the bloke literally raped us everytime we played the Dragons. Something like over 20 odd tries in about 10 games.

He is a great player, can't believe anyone would try and argue otherwise. People have short memories - he was not the same player when he came back from yawnion, but before that he was fantastic.

He still is fantastic.

People seem to write him off as past it - but he's been hands down the best centre this season.

Thinking about it logically for a second, if the Dragons planned this, they were taking a huge risk. What if he wanted to play out the contract, they would have had to pay him. Whether he intended to play on or not is not the point. I think when the Dragons signed him, they intended for him to pay out the deal. Look at players like Costigan and Smith who they have let go due to Salary Cap Pressure. If they knew this was happening, they would have been able to keep them. Posters like BHP will never see both sides of the story.

his defence has been top notch.

his attack has been pretty good, certainly a million times better than having beau scott out there on the right.

Well I'm 6'2 myself and about 95kg. So it ain't like I'm a lightweight and I've got a damn good right hook. I'd hurt anyone who would think of giving me trouble in reallife, whether there name be John Smith, Mark Gasnier or anyone else.
Le Gaz would simply have a LOL@50uff$ and be on his merry way, if your lucky he might even let you see what a modern premiership ring looks like.

The stupidity is strong in this one, I rarely use the ignore list but the mental ineptitude here is mind boggling.

You "study" at UNSW?
What are your parents rich or did you just take some low end course that no other bastard wanted to do?
I remember when you needed brains to study at UNSW, now all you need is to be from another country and be willing to pay overs per module or have rich parents and become a full fee paying student.
f**king Nelson reforms............

Dumb arse f**ks like you would have had the shit beaten out of them behind the old main building for being the complete toss bag that you are.

Either bring something substantial to your allegations or shut the f**k up.
Better yet just do what most of the "stupid and here on dad's money" student body do at UNSW these days, go hang around on that f**king grass near the quad food court or some shit.

bahahahahahahahaha I hit a nerve  jealous boy

And if editing is a sign of weakness, you have a (50x20m flashing neon) sign of weakness: when you open your mouth.

In my opinion, the chin has presented himself very well in the media since his return from union. He is intelligent, well spoken and offers more than 'yeah, nah, yeah, obviously we just followed the gamplan the forwards laid down a good platform and full credit to the boys'

I wouldn't be surprised if he has been offered a lot of cash that won't threaten his health weekly to work full time in the media.

The only subject where you excel: FAIL!!!!!!

If he's hit anything, it's a rich juicy vein of truth.

I don't know what the merkin said, I put him on ignore.
The stupidity made my ears hurt.
Definitely not a student of engineering, old Bruce would throw his arse out of the room f**king stat.

Goosnier's dismal SOO series this year has made him realise he's sh*t and can't cope any more at the highest level

At least he wasn't run out of town and the police force like Mal Meninga. Why did mal leave Brisbane in such a Hurry?

To play for the Raiders......big bucks.......no QLD sides to play in the Sydney league?

Was Goosnier a copper?

No........but he's had to be interviewed by them on multiple occasions.

You'd better have another think about Goose before you start throwing around dispersions about anyone else's character.

I reckon he has paid someone for pro media coaching, because before he went to France it was embarrassing seeing him in front of a camera.

Edit - but to be fair he was no worse than most players then

If he did I'd recommend it to every player. Gaz sounds a lot better than most of the others.

Mal Meninga. "Rugby league's given me nothing.' Yet he continues to be involved with it. I suppose we need to take everything Mal says with a grain of salt. I'm standing for Parliament. And then, " I can't do this crap." So what does Mal really mean by the things he has said lately??? Interpret as you see fit I suppose.
