Gawd I'm sick to death of the undeserved plaudits this guys gets. He comes out spruking about how he'll do "whatever it takes" to be the number 1 prop in the game and he then gets owned by Josh Perry on Friday night!! And for a prop to be owned by Josh Perry means one thing, you are pathetic.

I laughed my arse off on Friday night seeing this fat kobold trying to put big hits on only to miss and look like a complete genius. Fair dinkum, Shrek should stick to scaring little kiddies, cause as far as NRL front rowers go, he wouldn't scare the skin off a custard.

Chook.

Of course he's overrated though. He isn't big or strong enough. If a really big powerhouse prop actually comes to play they will own O'Meley every time.

You saying that there isn't any big powerhouse props?

O'Meeley needs to stop talking to the press and getting on with the business...he did not have a great game but will always take 2-3 players with him in the tackle which can lead to trouble for other teams if he gets a quick play after the tackle.

O'Meley plays with more heart than probably any other front rower, but he's only a little bloke as far as front rowers go. We saw a fat turd like Josh Perry put his foot down friday night and look what happened?

He may have got pwned but stack him up against the other 'big name props' and he gets pwned the least along with Bailey.

I'd love to have Shrek leading my pack. Great player

O'Merley gets stopped at the ad line more times than he breaks it or even moves it backwards, he himself gets pushed backwards more often than any other front rower in the league imo, he rarely puts on a big hit and he's not very mobile for a squirt of a front rower.

He may play with heart, but heart don't make up for talent or ability, just look at Brett Finch.

O'Merly is to playing front row what Brett Finch is to playing halfback = vastly overated.

Chook.

Josh Perry and the other knights forwards did not run at O'Meley. O'Meley went looking for them in defense and they steered clear of him.

You dont watch games close enough. OMeley rarely gets pushed back.
So he didnt have one of his best games vs the Knights, so what. Every player has a bad game....from A Johns, to A Minichiello to P Cariage.

Perry is going to own lots of props this year - he is finally fit and being fired up by the old heads at the club. Smith and Statue have him on the right path and seem to have knocked some braincells into him or something as well.

Once Davico is back on deck the Knights are going to have an awesome pack once again. And we all know what a certain #7 can do behind a monster pack.

There hasn't been a dominant Australian prop since Webcke's glory days. Contenders come and go and rise again, but no-one has siezed the crown.

Fielden is clearly the best prop in the world ATM IMO with the qualification that he's like Wally, Mal and the rest of our Origin heroes of the 80s were. They were the best but part of it was that they only had to play at that level a few times a year instead of week in, week out.
