Switch over to Channel 180 now if you want to see him play. He has just come on the field and it is Half Time in the Grand Final of the Koori Knockout.

Wow, Ben Barba is playing centre as well. Marmin at halfback and Ben at centre?

FYI guys, Ben Barba and Marmin Barba are in the red jerseys, Marmin is number 7 and Ben is number 3.

I have been watching this tournament all weekend and it has been great entertainment. Plenty of First Graders on show throughout the weekend.

I'll keep updating you guys on how Mitchell and Marmin play in particular.....
I will say right now, like Ben Barba, Marmin does have issues in defence. Earlier though he did clobber a few people with big hits......fearless little guy.
Frankly, Ben and Marmin on the same side defensively leaked a try right there, fortunately it seems like the opposition aren't really exploiting them....
Nice try by the guys in the blue jersey off a kick.

Yeah that's what I noticed; George Rose, Tahu, etc all playing, it's really good.

Hey, just watching Ben and Marmin in defence, they look pretty good actually. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean they would defend well in first-grade....as we already know.

Yeah, Anthony Mitchell, Marmin and Ben all being small guys defending on the same side isn't a good recipe.....they do pretty good considering though

MARMIN BARBA TEARS RIGHT THROUGH OPPOSITION DEFENCE AND SCORES HIS THIRD TRY!!!!

My god this guy is fast and smart!!
He has a hat-trick, from a halfback that is amazing.....
As entertaining to watch as Ben Barba, for sure.

Wooo George Rose kicks the goal!
This red jersey team (Walgett) plays amazing counter-attack footy....

Commentators think Marmin Barba was man of the match.
Commentators also think that, get this, Marmin Barba, Anthony Mitchell and Ben Barba were unstoppable.
Watching the game, I think if we secure Marmin and Mitchell long-term, we have two of the most destructive players in junior ranks......Mitchell out of dummy half with his running and passing is AMAZING! Marmin is DESTRUCTIVE!
Great game to watch!!!

Boxhead if you saw the first half anthony mitchell was definetely man of the match! he absolutely tore the other team to shreds. He is so incredibely skillfull and has very good acceleration. He just seems to pick his times perfectly, cant wait to see him in firsts next year. Also Marmin outplayed his brother today. But he is sooo small. Future looks bright cant wait to watch marmin in the nyc!!!

In low-level footy (where defence isn't so good) quick halfbacks always score loads of tries; it's wingers who never see the ball. Whereas in first grade the wingers are usually amongst the busiest ball-carriers in the team.

Grand Final was always going to be high scoring after playing 6 games over the weekend. They played Semi Finals which went for 30 mins each half only a few hours ago. Then a 80 min GF. Mitchell and the Barba's were just too quick for the struggling forwards.

Yea agree there was also some very big guys that were preety unfit so it was a field day for little players.

With all due respect to the Barba's et al... until just recently, hasn't Cliff Lyons virtually owned that deal well into his 40's?

Yeah see what you guys mean.....eesh things are looking on the up with Anthony Mitchell and Marmin Barba at our club.........we've got a stock of extremely talented young players (some of which we bought-most we developed ourselves) coming through, in a few years-maybe 2012 and 2013, hopefully all our great young players like Loko, Sio, Barba, Mitchell, Tupou and so on will be in first-grade with Hayne, Mannah and so many others leading the team!

When Marmin was a baby did he ever spend any time with his father or was it always just Marmin Barba?
