Marshall on that blue jersey incident

The jersey/video incident is just one part of the very reason why he's not playing good footy.

Its all related.

THAT is the point

The very reason? I would say he was playing some pretty bad footy at the season start of the season too. And like a lot of players he is probably finding it hard to put in on the field when they know they are on the way out, especially when they feel they have been wronged. Good luck to the guy, will be interested to see how he goes in Union.

He is playing lower quality footy because he is older and slowing down. That is also the reason the club isn't paying him a fortune.

Yeah I don't agree with that at all. He is only 28 years old and should be reaching his peak like other great players have. He is at career worst form, it's way more mental than physical.

One part

And he could be killing it onfield, or playing crap like he is....you dont wear another jersey while contracted...its a 'f**k you' to your current club
Plenty of people would still think its wrong.
Only those that dont care, or dont understand - dont care...those that do care find it wrong
He's been making excuses that often for so long he's now got fans doing it for him

Time will tell. If he kills it in Rugby I guess you are right. If he doesn't I guess I'm right.

His brand is ruined and his credibility is shot. Anything he says now is purely to salvage whatever is left of his shattered reputation. Of course he'll say he gets along with Potter, he'll sprout anything he can to try and paint himself in a good light (he didn't want to leave the club, loyalty, pay cuts etc...)

Tigers fans aren't exclusively pissed about this, it's happened before (Wing/James when he moved to the Heat etc,) and is largely seen as poor form and disrespectful towards fans and sponsors when you don the colours of another club whilst still contracted to another.

Says who??

If he manages to succeed in Rugby Union his brand will skyrocket to something far greater than anything he could get from the tigers.

With the greatest respect to your club... And I've always had the greatest respect for your guys club...

The global exposure he could get from being an All Black is something he couldn't get in RL.

And from the way he's been carrying on lately I reckon that would probably appeal to him.

I'm a Blues fan... And while I hope he does well for us... I reckon we were better off spending what money we do have on other players.. coz IMO... Benji ain't the answer.

I refer to his cred and brand in RL of course. He starts off with virtually a clean slate over in NZ.

You're right about any success he may enjoy in RU will far outweigh anything the Tigers could offer him in the NRL, but exposure is only part of the deal... If he carries on like a self entitled prat like he has in the last 8 weeks here, he'll be back where he started. I'm also willing to bet that Sir John won't put up with the same shit that Sheens tolerated.
