Put him behind an aggressive and damaging forward pack, where defenders are on the back foot and there are gaps in the defence, that's when Benji is at his best. Unfortunately we have have not had this luxury for many a year.

your 100% right, till we can get a pack forwards that bend the line and go forward we are not going anywhere

This is exactly the issue. The more our team goes forward the straighter benji runs. The more they struggle to make metres the more sideways he has to run.

Its not a fault of benji, its a fact that affects every team.

Benji has been pretty good for us over the years i guess. A talented yet very inconsistant player and yes i agree, i think hes time is up. He makes stupid decisions. Them putrid grubbers he puts in are so predictable and useless. He goes sideways something chronic.
If it wasnt for Bob Farah and A woods wed be in real strife.

I don't think we should consider getting rid of Benji, and saying that he hasn't done anything good since 2005 is just ridiculous...have you all forgotten 2010-11? He was incredible. I'll admit he has lost alot of his flair, but give him a chance to get it back ffs.
And for everyone who claims that Benji controls the club off-field...can you please quote a source or back this up with some sort of evidence? There is absolutely no merit to this continued rumour

I've said this multiple times since last year, we need to cut all the unnecessary players that take up considerable salary space and buy a stronger forward pack (Benji is not one of these). I swear we must have the youngest front row in the game and here is where our troubles begin

I don't think our front row is our weak point. Buchanan and Woods have been our best forwards by a massive margin.

Just like last year, our weakness is our back row. No dominance in defence and ineffective in attack.

So much so that we are now playing a constricted defence, whereby the centres mark up on two men infield and leaving the wingers horribly exposed.

Teams are running around us with ease.

Thats not Benji's fault.

2012 also had Benji 2nd in try assists playing for an average side that didnt even make the 8 . Id hate to see our performance without him.

Benji hasn't been at his best but there is no way he is even close to the biggest problem (at least on the field i know nothing about the off field stuff so it's impossible to comment on). Putting the blame on him when there are so many other issues is just unfair.

You put Cronk or Thurston onto the tigers and they would look a sh*t ton worse than they do now.
