Another disciplinary cop-out based on fear of upsetting you sensitive Australians.

It is supposed to International Rugby League, not free-style boxing. "Desperate Dan Chin" Mason is a thug, pure and very very simple. His hit on Long may be legal on Australian street corners, but in the civilised world it would have resulted in a charge of GBH.

And now he has the temerity to criticise his let-off. Idiot.

I'd suggest you find out the definition of GBH. A busted nose - not bloody likely. At best it would be bodily harm. And yes I do know because in my past career I have laid numerous charges of both.

While your at it, for what Fielden said to Mason - in the civilised world he would have been charged with offensive language.

But it was a bloody footy field and thank f*ck you have nothing to do with the administration of the game. If you were, then players would be civilly charged with offences all the time.

You are one funny person 25......

Test match footy is not anything goes. It was striking and Willie was righfully suspended.

And that would be fair enough Saab, if natural justice and precedents had been followed.

King. Morley. Peacock etc all have thrown punches during the Tri-Nations and what has happened? f*ck all.

This was more of an appeasing penalty than anything else.

When has any MRC/Judiciary followed precedents?
People have been complaining for yrs and yrs in relation to some things attracting 2 weeks and something almost identical being let off.
I wish he was not suspended, but something had to be done with that punch.

Just saw Ricky Stuart on the TV..."we've copped a raw deal" sniffle sniffle boo hoo !!!

Mason's behaviour on Sat was the worst of any player in the tri nations so far. He is lucky not be out for 5 weeks after his hit on Long. Not happy with his shot on long, he chased Long around the paddock all night looking for the big hit. Mason is a CAT ! The Kidwell hit just gets better and better !

Stuart should be thanking his lucky stars, not crying like a schoolgirl

I wouldn't defend Mason if i was an Aussie. He is a known troublemaker off the ball its a part of his reportoire. His eye was a bit bruised after what Kidwell dished out a few weeks back. Also remember Fielden got up with a broken nose and played on, Willie had to take a weeks R+R for a black eye. Staying on the field after that gains my respect. I believe he is lucky it is only one game, as the ref should have sinbinned him twice. If a GB player did the same to an Aussie or Kiwi i would expect him to be punished/sinbinned, it's the only way otherwise the game might as well start with a brawl at the beginning of each half. Yes the judiciary is a joke mason should be made an example of before the whole thing gets out of hand. Those die hard aussies who say he doesn't deserve need to read the rules and Willie needs to show some self control when playing international RL.
