Nothing left for a bloke like Mason anyway...His mouth is bigger than his ability..Great when the going is good and his team is on top...Missing if they get behind...

Round 6 2007??

From memory we were 16-6 down and he inspired us to victory

oh thats right, it was against parra too!! surprised you could forget that so easily :sarcasm:

no need to be an idiot about it..i was just saying the exact opposite to what parra pete was saying. FTR, Mason also inspired us to a come from behind grand final win in 2004. He would be extremely valuable to any club...

so how is it that Mason goes missing when we are behind, despite the fact that we won a grand final on the back of his performance?? confusing to say the least...

Still just sitting there...

hate to break it to you but those blokes weren't on that sort of money you've mentioned.

Dragons might be a chance. Rumour has it we offered Melbourne's Jeremy Smith around $200k, plus we look likely of offloading Matt Head's contract... Money and cap space might just be there.

Pffffft..... Willie has wanted out how many times in the lasdt few seasons? I'm taking this with a grain of salt.

Having said that though.....

He'd look good in a Storm jersey.

And think about how good Craig Bellamy is as a coach when it comes to controlling noted hot heads a la Crocker, Smith and Cross.

Mason may be considered a clown by most people here and in the greater rugby league community but he'd do wonders for the game in Melbourne due to the similarities between him and dickhead Irish barman headlocking Brendan Fevola. Mason is probably one of the few players a casual RL watcher in Melbourne would recognise outside of Storm players.

No rumour.

You'll find thats is what Doust offered Smith for a 3 year contract. Smith chose to stay in Melbourne in 2008 even though his future at the club beyond next season is not guaranteed beyond 2008.

dude i wasn't. What i meant to say was he does produce a number of crap games too.

He is a good player, but i'd rather be upgrading Hayne and Inu's contract before i even talk to his manager.

LOL, would a beautiful match. Big mouth and a team that always seems to get into a tangle with tackling techniques. Match made in heaven!:p

:? HUH? I don't get it. What's the correlation between Mason's mouth and the grapple tackle?

The guys a tosser of the highest order but he is better than Gibbs, Galloway and O'Hara any day of the year, and offers better go-forward than Payten, so I'd take him.

56 posts and finally, a peep out of Donut King Timmah.

Just got home after a long day and this is actually the first thing I read. I noticed Peponis didn't deny Mason's claims but refuted rumours of Noad being sacked first thing this morning.

Grain of salt - being a Tele-run story, but if he leaves it will suck big bananas.
