Already on disc 2... Absolutely amazing game, not as groundbreaking as ME 2 or ME 1 were, but it's incredible how tightly woven the story is, plus they've removed all the trivial timefillers and replaced them with a bucketload more purposeful missions... As for the combat in the above review, the combat is far less repetitive compared to 2, there is more of it, but your opponents are more varied and you can choose to make it as easy or as difficult as you want. Personally the combat in ME has always been a drawcard, I've never been a fan of RPG's that don't immerse you in the experience by making combat easy.

This will get quite a few playthroughs before I'm done with it.

Got the email yesterday from JBhifi the the CE had been sent. Was hoping it would have been here when I got home. Hopefully tomorrow.

Whenever I get it, I might play story mode for my boring soldier shep, and up the difficulty for the other character classes. I've got all 6 character classes of sheps saved on an external hard drive with a whole bunch of different decisions made throughout, so it'll be interesting to see the effects it has.

Well I'm up to the final boss battle...

A few gripes though...

The story and path you take to recruit members is nowhere near as clear. The war asset readiness rating is kind of pointless unless you play multiplayer (doesn't ever increase beyond 50%), I would have liked to see the ability to do side missions and remove reapers on planets so their armies are able to be freed up for the final assault. The last final missions also seem slightly rushed, although this may be deliberate due to the story.

One thing is for sure though, your decisions really impact the game, throughout the game, not just for the ending. I've seen all sorts of things as a result of what I've done, including a suicide thrown in for good measure.

Disc 2? Console or PC?

By the time I get it, they'll probably have save game editors so I can fix combat readiness that way. I'll give multiplay a go, but for 6 sheps - Don't think so.

Forza 3 and 4 also have 2 discs. You install one of them.

Finished ME3 today, won't say anything about the ending.
Overall, I really enjoyed it. Need to pick up a few remaining achievements now. Might make an attempt at Insane at some point. Couple of places I can see being really hard. Particularly an encounter right at the end.

Started a renegade playthrough and even though I killed the Rachni queen in ME 1 with my FemShep and Garrus just mentions that we let her escape? Nice way to erase one of my decisions BioWare.

Had completed ME1 and 2 on Xbox, then it broke. About to pick up 3 for PS3, disappointing I wont be able to continue you it with the same character.

If you start a new ME3 with no prior save do you still pick the decisions you made in the previous titles?

I find something confusing
How in the hell did Garrus get back onto the Normandy to appear in the final cutscene on that planet, when he was with me just moments before running towards the transporter up into the Citadel?

I haven't seen that ending
Didn't happen to me, he was dead on the ground in the run to the citadel. Ended with a door opening on the planet and noone coming out

Same thing happened to me, only with Liara.

Would have been hilarious had EDI walked out, since she was also in the squad

Thinking back, all the crew, the named crew at least apart from Joker, whichever doctor you took and Traynor were on Earth, so how they got back onto the Normandy which was up in the fight is also confusing.
