If Taumolo is charged with a shoulder charge, apparently a 200 base penalty for a shoulder charge but will be reduced with a early guilty plea. Not sure of his prior history.

So 1 game and carry over points

Scott is massive and we are now a much weaker team for it.

We have the depth to cover Coote and Winters short term, but no international props sitting in the lower grades.

The Cowboys should be fine until the Origin period.

Their next couple of games are quite friendly Sea Eagles (H), Titans (A), Rabbitohs (H), Tigers (H), Dragons (A), Knights (H), Eels (H), Bulldogs (A). They should win most of those and by Round 10 it'd be easy to see them with an 8-2 record, if not better.

Scott is a quality player but as long as they've got Taumalolo they won't struggle making metres in the middle of the field.

Cowboys are a little behind in reinforcing their Forward stocks, there's always some to be found in NZ . . . Green needs to ask Bellamy for some tips

Apparently Green is on the same wave-length, he's close to pinching McLean off of Craig and Gubb was close to finding his way to Townsville not that long ago.

Scott hasn't been formally offered anything from the Knights. They have been waiting for Scott to visit and tour the club and area

May not happen at all now

It's been confirmed Matt Scott's out for the season. The timing is terrible too considering he is coming off contract and may hurt his market value as well.

"Matt Scott may have played his last game for North Queensland after the Cowboys co-captain was rubbed out for the rest of 2017 NRL season with a torn ACL.

Scott will undergo surgery after injuring his knee in Friday night's 21-20 golden-point win over Brisbane.

The 31-year-old is off contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a move to Newcastle.

Scott came off the field in the second half and went straight to the sheds.

In the aftermath of the game, Cowboys officials feared the worst for the North Queensland prop, and the bad news was confirmed on Monday.

The Cowboys have more injury woes resulting from the golden-point win, with winger Antonio Winterstein (broken arm) and full-back Lachlan Coote (torn calf) both set to spend several weeks on the sidelines."
