Lol, no idea because Clifford might have 18 on his back and not 7 or 6. Jesus. Plenty of things to criticise about the team without having to stretch to stuff like numbers on jerseys.

Toohey actually says he would start Watson, but he doesn't pick the team.

Coach has had plenty of doubters across all areas of our performance. He would know who he wants to run out barring injury. It is one of, and the easiest ways he can project confidence in his ability as a coach, I think he should take it.

Also, Herald article by Toohey 5th June, claiming Clifford and Watson. Sorry can’t link. I saw Toohey’s tweet also, but who knows.

It is if nothing else going to be interesting to see what AOB and Siebs come up with today. Maybe Clifford’s aerial game off the boot is something they don’t want Gutho getting his eye in over too early. Injecting him after 20 mins or so might be at worst a chance to arrest any momentum issues.

Only reasons I can see if Clifford goes to the bench is that Watson really controlled the game last week and Clifford might need to ease in with a new team.
AOB did say Clifford was doing a lot of directing in training and he had thought Clifford was quieter.
I'd just throw him in.

I can’t see value in that approach. Fortunately Clifford has variety in his kicking game that will hopefully keep the back three under pressure. Sure, fullbacks have been comfortable diffusing our usual tackle 6 options, but he is no Mitchell Pearce.

The less Mann plays, the better for the team. It's that simple. However, he will probably come on for Watson who will move to play 13 and Mann will still partner Clifford in the halves it seems.

Our starting side is solid as and in the past month it's been our bench that has come on to give us needed boosts of energy. Our bench today is a concern, but hopefully the young blokes there aim up and rip in.

Just seen the jerseys - how good!

It's not exactly my favorite design but I associate that jersey with our most dominant era. Love it!

You've gotta admit, that is one of the worst NRL lineups we've seen since... well ever I guess. It's right up there with the worst of the Brown years. I hope they hold their gloves up all match. Not expecting much.
