If they are aiming to be top 5 defensive team, then Brown is going to have to make an example of a few players. Herman seems to be the first to get dropped due to a defensive lapse.

It's a good sign that we can drop someone as good as Herman. No more free rides no matter your form.

As long as he is consistent. Our left side was poor in the trial as well.

I’m not sure about that.
Watson defending in the centres for Sione??
Sione was never going to be dropped.
Even though week after week he dished up the same rubbish.
Brown certainly has his favourites.

Uate's problem was between the ears. That and the fact he is a horrible defender and has bad hands. He did well to get to where he did.

The problem I have with Herman being dropped is Brown told the team to play like crap during the trials.
So I don’t get it???
Why is Brown dropping one of our better players from last season?

Most predicted this, Ese’ese out, ok if form not good but why not promote a prop/mid fwd so have two on bench. Have to use Guerra in middle with Glasby some time up front.

I don’t like the thought of Barny coming off the bench instead of Herman, but if coach thinks he had poor defence leading to two tries, doesn’t really how hard you run, especially if defence has been our priority this preseason. So keen for this Friday, until they destroy my mood with a 20+ flogging. God I hope I’m wrong

Well the pressure is on Brown to deliver now. This is his team, he's made his selections and the result will reflect on him if we don't turn up for this game.

Well I sincerely hope he's a genius. The time for f**king around with line ups is over. It's a home game and our record at home is a disgrace. Put your best 17 in.

I don't see what's with all the doom and gloom. Ese'ese being there or not isn't going to win or lose us the game. That's a really strong side. The best side I have seen named in over a decade. No glaring weaknesses apart from Hunt and SKD being new together. Could see us concede some down that side (if they play together) but we look hella strong. Can't wait for Friday to roll around!
