This is why we bought wardle...Pete Mat is a defensive liability. When Wardle is fit he'll walk straight into that center position

This is a real shame, it's like the first 20 minutes didn't happen.

Have we completed a set since the penalty goal? Just hate the option so much.

I'm truly speechless after that. Forget any one player or any particular mistake... you can't just continue to give them the ball back for 20 minutes and expect any other result. The problem is they're off with the pixies freaking the f**k out.

Even in the good times a can't remember going 8 points up ever working out for us.

Our only hope is they suffer a series of goal kicking injuries

One of those ones you stop by not kicking it out on the full and giving them the opportunity to begin with.

Yeah I meant defensive line wise.

Dropping the ball twice 10 metres out caused all this...Brown will be shaking his head.

Brown needs to outlaw the penalty goal unless it's the last 10 mins of the game. Such a stupid option and just gives the other team a breather and a chance to reset.

Yeah, realistically we need to be able to deal with dropping a few balls though. As you said earlier, errors happen. Completely losing the f**king plot team-wide for 20 minutes after is inexcusable and can only possibly result in a massive spray from the coach. I hope the paint is dropping off the walls in there.

Hodko, Buhrer and co needed to calm the farm out there.

Yep... it was bad, we needed more points there.

Every single time this happens I say the same thing to myself before we even kick the goal. It's so obviously what the opposition wants you to do, and so often it leads directly to a momentum shift. Just stay on the attack!!! Ugh. So frustrating.

We got straight back up there a couple of minutes later in the same position and dropped it, twice.

I used to believe in it pretty strongly as a blanket rule. I still think it's a decent decision in big matches with 2 good teams at the top of their game going toe to toe. Origins, finals etc often have very long periods of play without tries scored and sometimes getting on the board works in your favour - especially if you've been camped down there for a while and haven't come away with anything.

For a team like ours, it's laughable. We need to go out to a lead for mental reasons as much as anything else.

Good point, too. At the end of the day, the rot just set in thick and the errors flowed. They panicked and started playing catch-up footy while they were still f**king ahead in the match. It's like not scoring for 10 minutes got in their head and they freaked out.

When we're good we're in the game and are able to compete. When we're bad we are absolutely horrendously bad. This is what we just saw.
