2 things that have stuck out for me lately ( & I know not for a lot of others)that concern me 1 Captain Mbye not calming BJ down when needed - I think a few around the place may also have wondered if Mbyes is the right man for the job because of that. I think I saw him being more proactive last but week but Nah he’s not our captain ..2 Madge taking until 10 minutes into second half to bring on Benji ..Along with Joeys Johns demanding that Benji plays at 6 esp if he makes a difference against Broncos must have Madge doubting his own judgement..which we all know is off anyway re backs selections.

Some ppl may not agree, but it’s worth a shot.

1. Brooks (Speed, Support, RUN!!)
2. Nofo
3. Lawrence (Cover BJ)
4. AD (Tall, safe, can step pass ppl to try line)
5. Talau
6. Mbye (Cover Reynolds or let them fight over it)
7. Benji (Leader team looks up to, can manage the game and make things happen)
8. Aloiai
9. Grant
10. Mikaele (He needs to start)
11. Garner
12. Leilua
13. Eisenhuth (Until Twal is 100%)

14. Mcintyre
15. Clark
16. Twal
17. Chee Kam

I have a strange feeling that Brooks might excel in the no.1 jersey. If not, then FMD.

I was wondering which account was Tim Sheens. Hope you are doing well mate.

Twal, McIntyre and Talau should all be back. We look an infinitely better side with them there.

Broncos missing Glenn and Fifita is apparently set to miss this one too.

Last week shook my faith in the ability for us to keep turning up for 80 minutes but we should have a bit more class to do the job, I reckon we'll get up by 16 points.

WESTS Tigers halfback Luke Brooks has been axed in favour of Billy Walters and Benji Marshall in the halves as coach Michael Maguire continues his hard line stance on selecting the team on form.
The Tigers return to one of their spiritual homes at Leichhardt Oval on Friday night to host the Broncos with local junior Brooks dropped after a poor performance in the loss to South Sydney in round nine.

Brooks missed nine tackles according to the Fox Sports Lab, a statistic which would have left coach Maguire fuming.

With Josh Reynolds suspended, Maguire has instead opted to return Benji Marshall to the Tigers right edge with Walters to play on the Tigers left side in place of Brooks.

The Walters development comes after the Canberra Raiders signalled an interest in signing the Tigers utility following a season-ending injury to Josh Hodgson.

Tigers coach Maguire has long maintained he will select the side based on form and also players being strong defenders.

The Broncos are facing an injury Kotoni Staggs expected to miss another week with his hamstring injury, while Herbie Farnworth AND young fullback Tesi Niu left Broncos training. Channel 7’s Chris Garry reported Staggs will miss Round 10, with 18-year-old Reece Walsh a chance to debut on the wing. David Fifita is also no chance of a return in Round 10, while Matt Lodge is in serious doubt, as is Xavier Coats. The Broncos will be without captain Alex Glenn for six to eight weeks after he suffered a knee injury in last week’s win over the Bulldogs.

From Hoops' column. We may have some luck coming our way, but then again, we historically don't have the best record against any 'Baby Broncos' sides.

I’ve seen more grit from the Tigers this year for sure, hopefully that will be enough dominate the Bronc’s inexperience. With two less nutcases on the field they should be more solid but will need some real leadership to get them going. Twal is always good for leading by example, hope he’s 100%.

How long have we been screaming out for accountability when teams are selected. No other coach we have had since the JV would have sacked Brooks. Fingers crossed it has the desired effect and Brooks comes back a better player sometime in the future
It took him a while tho ..funny what a coach can suddenly do when missing the 8 is not an option...Shame it had to come from the fans before he made the move. We’ve known all year. At least he’s done it

I quite like the side, certainly different to what we have been playing.
I hope Blore gets a run if the opportunity comes.
Players have a point to prove. (I hope):)

We have a tiny bench. Mikaele is basically the only middle forward on the bench. To me that is a worry.

I wonder how Brooks goes off the bench and if he gets a spell at 9.

If he plays?

We need another middle forward out there. For a better balanced team you'd drop him. I think he will play though. Unless he plays well at hooker I don't see him as a great bench option. Who knows - we will find out ?

No way Brooks will be in the 17 unless Benji is going in with an injury. If that’s the case Marshall shouldn’t be in the side.

Out of those bench forwards they’re all sizeable bar McIntyre. McIntyre is a mad dog who needs another 5 or 6kg. The other guys are good size lads, bloke call
Clark small, he is 110kg. He is a lump.
