Well nobody can say we didn't play direct on that attacking set. Hardly even passed the ball.

Defence has been pretty decent today (bar their first try - terrible). Canberra look average, but we aren't giving them the chance to look good.

Gagai - in what I assume is "sure I'm worth fullback money" audition for those watching from Souths - has been pretty absent...

What sort of kick was that from Feeney? 20 seconds to go and we had one last throw of the dice before half time. Even if Canberra cleaned up an attacking kick, it was extremely unlikely it would have caused us a problem with the time remaining. DUMB play.

Saifiti, Yates and Sione having a real dig. Some nice touches from Lamb.

But fmd it looks like Brown has given up on a kicking game and the instruction is just bang it into f**king touch!

He's gotta get some ball, but yeah nothing doing in general. To be honest, watching Tapine today in particular is sorta making me second guess Gagai in general after all the discussion to the contrary earlier today. Gagai has a high ceiling as far as the plays he can pull off, especially if there was better around him... but centres are so unimportant in todays game. I'm starting to come around, regardless of the cap or money involved.

If Gags wants to leave for a payday, then that's fine I think. He's a good clubman, and is still a good footy player in general - I would love to keep him... and I do still worry that we're letting rep players go when we need to be signing them. Ultimately though, the amount of impact a centre can have on todays game is very limited, especially when our team makes no effort to get the ball out that way.

They have been doing it all game, Gagai, lamb and sione. Coach's instruction obviously

Yeah, this. Just keeping it super bloody simple and basic for the dumb dumbs.

Yeah, I really do like Yates. He doesn't get rag-dolled much for his size, either. Not like you'd expect, anyway.
