The bunker was atrocious but we just fall to pieces as soon as something goes against us.

Klemmer and Young were great and Milford looked good in the first half. Loved Crokes to Ponga as well. Other than that it was pretty grim. Brisbane are good side though. Some serious talent on the edges especially.

1)Croker only came on once Best got injured

2)Our Starting hooker only came back on in garbage time (played last 7 minutes). Crossland actually played more minutes than Randall tonight, although it was split just about 50/50. Does this explain the wildly different second half? Having a complete different hooker for that half.

3)Saifitis, our two horribly out of form props went close to getting the most minutes before Klemmer came back on in garbage time - although NRL.com says he played the last 20 minutes, this seems hard to believe?

I admittedly turned it off when the writing was on the wall but it's another pathetic hiding isn't it?

Realistically, we're not beating anyone other than the Bulldogs this season. I know there are flaws in the roster but there's more than enough talent to at least be competing each week but we are not. I do think a good coach could get this squad into the 8 and actually looking like a good side sometimes.

i think its a 2 fold issue, firstly Clune's kicking game is diabolical, secondly we have some absolutely dumb footballers who literally don't know where the ball is half the time when i kick goes up, instead of having intent on the kick chase to either contest or to smash the opposition winger/fullback catching the ball half the time they just chase out of muscle memory.

What I don’t understand is, if they contest the high ball and knock it on, they still have the benefit of getting to start their defensive set with a set line. The downside of not regaining possession is pretty low, while the upside is quite big.

Still cranky about this.

we lost it in the first half. We were absolutely dominant, bombed two and had a legitimate one taken off us. We go in 18-0 or 18-6 up it’s a different game.

the second bunker howler just broke us. We aren’t mentally strong enough to take that on the chin, so it ends up looking like we weren’t in it. But we absolutely were, and should have won.

also, Clune is not the answer. For a specialist half his kicking game is terrible both for accuracy and length.
