Yeah, too deep/not high enough to properly contest too.

It's one of the modern plays I feel like I've been watching for 15 years and still don't understand it. Either deliberately go for the properly contested ball, or smash it high and give it everything. Every week I see that type of nothing kick over and over, especially from us. Incredibly frustrating.

Fitzy off the remainder of the game. I'll have more confidence in our defence now if Jones comes back on.

When it's done well and it's not too deep like that - I believe the theory is that it doesn't give much time for the defence to run block plays/set up properly for the take. Emphasis on the *when done well*.

People used to quite unfairly have a go at Mullo for those, but he was much better at placing them than the current crop of plodders.

Yeah, I mean it does make sense, but as you suggest it has to be done well and my impression is that the Knights have been executing it poorly since Joey retired.

If Siebs has fixed the defence and come up with the game plan on Turbo the. He deserves full credit. Regardless of the results

See there if he puts a tiny bit more on it, or leave it a metre or two shorter, it's an actual contest. But as it is we are just handing the ball to Saab over and over again. And it's deliberate yet predictable.

I think if you look back over old games, we used to score off them often enough off Mullos boot, people just tend to remember the ones that don't work. I used to argue as such back then on deaf ears too.
