I’m sure it will be Ponga’s call if he plays. I’ve heard other players say it’s easier to back up a couple of days after origin than 3 or 4 days after.

Yeah it’s an awkward one with Ponga. He’s a confidence player and very down on it at the moment. We rest him after Sharpe had a great game at fullback last week and KP had an average Origin game and probably hits his confidence more. The only thing that’s going to get it back is being in the team and winning.

Hopefully he’s happy to rest though given the reported injuries.

My thoughts exactly. He has to get back on the horse and go after the game without fear of making mistakes. At 27 though, he should be past the confidence issues.
