Since it appears Green is gone for the season, need to go Mann at 9, Crossland at 6 and Hoy/Randall 14. There’s enough time left before the finals to work on combinations and get the most out of our attack.

Mann 6, Crossland 9 and swap during the game. Hoy at 14. Lino in extended squad to get him involved at training - rank outsider to play.

Is Toa okay for next week?
Hope so, I don't want Moga back in.

This is a real danger game. Warriors are playing really efficient football these days and we can't afford too many derp moments. Simple game plan and effort should be good enough to get us this win.

No reason Hoy couldn’t play in his place if he isn’t cleared.

As Star failed his HIA, he will have to pass all the tests during the week, so may end up being rested for his own good.

How far away is Lee? I heard a while back he’s a chance before the end of the season. Has there been any word since?

Just a note on our attack, when the Roosters attack, their attacking structure has bodies in motion and the man with the ball has 3 or 4 players who might receive the ball. However, we only pass the ball back out to Ponga or short to Fitzy so it's so easy for the defenders to read.

It seems like we have everyone in a straight line and only Ponga our the back so he gets shut down unless the ball service is super quick. The Roosters have 4-5 in the line and 2-3 out the back so keeps defenders guessing.

Reckon we will have this sort of structure next season?

Joey think Crosslands isn’t going to be a FG half and said he is seen very much as a future no.9

I’d be going with:

1. Kalyn Ponga
2. Starford To’a
3. Enari Tuala
4. Gehmet Shibasaki
5. Hymel Hunt
6. Tex Hoy
7. Mitchell Pearce
8. David Klemmer
9. Kurt Mann
10. Jacob Saifiti
11. Lachlan Fitzgibbon
12. Auden Guerra
13. Mitch Barnett

14. Phoenix Crosslands
15. Herman Ese’ese
16. Pasami Saulo
17. Josh King

Is that insider information or is it Joey's opinion?

Defends really well for a smaller bloke. I don't mind whatever. Seems he has a future in firsts though.

Hoy is potentially a good player at this time somewhere between 1sts and res but no chance to show his talents, Crossland has been playing and used at 6, 9 & 14, he is in the system rather than looking in. Crossland to 6 means little change, Mann at 9 is his better position but 6 he is ok. Common sense says play Crossland at 6 his likely preferred position, Mann at 9 his best position and Hoy a very good back up for 1-5 but 6? not sure but if Toa is out ok. Surely I ain’t talking nonsense it’s just common sense.
Fly in ointment is Lino, plays ok, playing his old club, played very good against them last time and kicks goals

Lino was the first name AOB mentioned in the post match press conference.

I like Crossland to 6, and Hoy to 14.

Lino would also fix the goal kicking issue we have. Ponga needs a kicking coach and a lot more practice to be what we should be aiming for.
