Starting to wonder of AOB's best insurance policy is buying a great attacking coach and him just doing his man and defence management. Cos what he has done with fitness and defence is quite impressive really. A year or two ago they put 50 on us.
Mate a month or two ago and they would have beat us by 30+. lol. God we have a recency bias sometimes. I'm guilty of it too, but we've been shot and dreadful this year bar the odd game. We were literally booing them off the park a few weeks ago, and they damn well deserved it then too.

Of course. But he might as well throw it all against the wall. Cos he won't last much longer unless he finds what he can control and what he can certainly allow someone else to take over in the areas he lacks. Wayne Bennett has known this for forty years.

McEwan will be a lot better than Simi IMO. Simi is playing great but it’s a lot easier to run with momentum in the best pack in the comp than it is to be 19, in a pack getting smashed and still stand out.

Fraud of a coach who a few weeks ago questioned fans intelligence. He’s not fit to coach the Hawks let alone an NRL team.

Think if we have Sharpe or Gamble in the 6 we win that. And that's against a really good side who steamrolled us in the middle of the field and out-physicalled us in general. Hastings and Cogger as a combination just does not threaten the line at all, Ponga (when he was on) and Best did well to create the space they did considering that and the lack of punch through the middle.

Once again they seem to somewhat be coming right at this stage of the season, the defensive structures and fitness are certainly there. But if Ponga is out for a few weeks, best to keep developing the young blokes with an eye on next season anyway. There are a few guys starting to show their potential, and we might have something in Crossland in the 13.
