Can't find the source (Edit - also referred to in post #22 by Frederick - which might or might not also be the 'source' I referred to?! :p) but sure I've read that Obi intends on specifically giving Pearce and Klem a very light week for training to freshen them up..this is on top of the resting of Ponga, Barnett and Hunt.

100%

It's a no brainer no matter which way the sandwich is cut.

Surprised Pearce isn't getting a rest. The theory he has been carrying injury (prior to the shoulder v Warriors) can be squashed now. That said, if anyone needed a freshen up, it is Pearce.

Maybe next week?
I'd rest him next week purely on him carrying an injury.

For some reason am looking forward to this week a bit more than normal, team changes, no Ponga and Barnett who I believe would be rested no matter who we were playing and Hunt who has been strong all season. Will be nice to have Dan back even if it means JSaf is back to bench and keen to see Hoy for a full game along with Lee on comeback. Going to be an interesting match

Ponga has been injury proof for us but if he misses a game or two during the finals, we don't have a ready made replacement. If Hoy gets some proper games under his belt (what better game than against reigning premiers) I'm sure he will be a ton more ready.

O'Brien said early on that it would take a full squad and he's repeated that lately. It does and most of the guys we bring in are near match ready. That's a credit to him and the trainers. It must be mega hard with no lead-in comp.
Maybe we should ditch reserves next year.

You guys reckon Jones has a future at the club? He is 22 already right? seemed okay but definitely upgradeable right?

We use to have a big outside back at the club.... didn't get a go here... killing it for Penrith this season.

I'm not sure how anyone can write of our fringe players after such a small sample size.

This is true, I'd say all of our players seemed to have made big improvements under the current coach.

King for example is hardly recognizable from past years. Jones is probably worth another year to see how he goes.

We’ll have to be on song with our defence from the get go because I’m anticipating an early onslaught by the Roosters, especially from Tedesco, Manu and the Morris twins.

In saying that though I feel really quite confident Tuala and Shibs will be able to handle their opposite numbers effectively.

Game day!
Anybody got the slightest bit of confidence that we can win this?
Lol.

I reckon we'll be competitive for a while and then concede a few lazy late tries from exhaustion.
I will be stoked if we keep the margin under 13 but I don't see it happening.

If hell freezes over and pigs started to fly and we somehow manage a win though.. I'll be celebrating like we won the grand final
