It's not a victim mentality...if we can get the missing 2 points back then let the nrl worry about the flow on effects...they caused it..not WT. 17 guys beat themselves up for those points...f k 'em!
I doubt we would win coz it would set a precedent that would make the game a joke and worse make lawyers more rich than they are But The nrl did ask for this allowing the blatant bad calls against WT and prob all the lower teams. (And yes we were cheated out of that game ) I’m glad Lees doing it (no one else would) just for the noise it’s going to make so the refs at least think twice
i still can’t believe that eye gouge from last week wasn’t mentioned. The other one got 4-5 weeks

Yeah fair enough....as for the bad precedent it would set...imagine this very possible scenario..last game of the regular season ...Nth Qld safely entrenched in the top 4 and it was either the Broncs or Chooks needing those same 2 points to make the 8 ...would the nrl or major sponsors be concerned with the repercussions...NO...they'd just adjust the rules to deal with it for the future and take the points back from Nth Qld in exactly two tenths of a heartbeat....in our instance it's just easier and better for THEM....same as is the case with so many other things in life when told to just suck it up ...the players of today and their opulent lifestyles can thank Dennis Tutty for not taking shit from those telling him it would be easier all-round to just move on.
Not directed at you...just venting

Of course…They would always find a way..This stuff is way beyond coincidence..I think with us it’s just built up to a point of - That’s enough!! And it is.. there was more yesterday and blatant.. There was a “high tackle” they got a penalty for which was just a good shock tactic tackle. (Seyfarth?)..but we didn’t get one for a much the same or worse head high and it was one straight after the other…so they havnt learnt their lesson
At least they can’t fine us for taking them to court ..Fk them..

May not fine us but it’ll cost a fortune and if we lose we face the possibility of paying the others sides costs

We are virtually no chance of getting the points back, the NRL are just hopping it fades away, regardless I'm happy for the WT to keep sticking it up the NRL about this matter, even if it's only a reminder of the blatant bias and unfairness that lower teams cop from match officials.
That decision made by Klein is an embarrassment to the NRL, it reflects poorly on the game and the NRL itself, they know it, we know it, every league supporter knows it.
Unfortunately, the NRL are not a proactive organisation that is in control of its own destiny, until it puts in place measures where blatant howlers like Kleins can be reversed, the games creditability will continue to suffer.

Tigers bosses meet with NRL over call

The nrl are still clutching at straws. Claiming that the cowgirls challenged the stopping of play should, then in this instance, probably have only seen the video referee confirm if the siren sounded or not. The officials got conned into reviewing something that they originally never made a decision on.

Spot on. You can only challenge a decision you believe is incorrect. If no decision has been made there's nothing to challenge

If the Tigers proceed with court action or not I would love to hear the dialogue going on in the refs ear at the time.

My memory is after the Broncos made the challenge and before the bunker review we challenged off side to be told we can't challenge that because it was already cleared by the bunker. What are they doing reviewing it before a penalty or challenge had been made?

Sure I might be a little biased but at this point I believe we are entitled to the 2 points and should pursue it as much as possible.

Good on you Lee. You have won me over.

From memory, there was 1 sec on the clock when they kicked off, the game was over? Will be interesting how this plays out?

"The NRL has already acknowledged that the Bunker official decision of 'escort' was incorrect, leading to the erroneous awarding of a penalty in favour of North Queensland Cowboys which ultimately decided the match," the statement read.

Both sides argued on whether or not a challenge should have been allowed in the first place, with the NRL standing firm on the legality of that part of the process - despite the penalty that was awarded being incorrect.

"The NRL is comfortable with the interpretation that was applied but has acknowledged, in light of the concerns raised by the Wests Tigers, that the rule needs to be reviewed at the end of the season to provide more clarity so as to ensure that there is no future misunderstanding as to the intent and application of the rule," it said.

"Wests Tigers will be consulted as part of the review, together with other interested clubs and stakeholders."

The NRL acknowledged "the professional and respectful manner in which the representatives of the Wests Tigers have pursued their concerns on behalf of their club's members and fans" but said there would be no further discussions about the match.

The NRL's verdict followed a strong reaction, not just from the Tigers, but from a raft of the game's commentators who felt the club was "robbed" of the two points due to the post-siren decision to award the Cowboys a penalty.

Surprise, surprise, nothing to see here?🫣🤨🙄

We were never going to win this anyway.

It sets a horrible precedent for games to be decided days (weeks) after the final siren.
Could you imagine a GF result being determined by the courts weeks after the game?

They f**ked up and the should just admit that they did, properly.

I accept this decision but I would still love it if the media sought out through freedom of information the video and audio of what actually happened at the end of the game. What was the bunker saying to the ref before he heard the challenge?
I'm not upset just curious.

Until the NRL and or WestsTigers tell the whole rugby league community what was said on the Audio tapes this situation still looks corrupt , and something is definitely being covered up. Looks like Weststigers are also now a very big part of the cover up if they can easily roll over without even gaining access to them... and if they did why havnt they at least disclosed the findings ?
The whole thing is sus from any angle i view from 😡

Roll over Beethoven. I’m not a lawyer, so I didn’t understand most of the gobbly gook in the statement?😂

Wests Tigers has decided not to pursue a course of legal action following the club’s loss to North Queensland Cowboys in Round 19 of the Telstra NRL Premiership.

What’s everyone so upset about? The NRL will let Wests Tigers be involved in clarifying the rules at the end of the season so that this mistake, that didn’t happen, won’t not happen again. What a relief!
The NRL have also acknowledged how professionally and respectfully the Tigers management rolled over for them, so much so that any further discussion will not be had. In other words, the Tigers were told “thank you for not kicking up too much of a fuss, now shut the f*ck up”.
