IC tried to offload Kev at the end of 2017, the only nibbles were from ESL and Kev did not want to head OS.

Than he had a very good World Cup and by all reports had a great preseason. While we keep winning or playing to high standard he will keep getting picked. When you introduce so many new faces to a team you have to try and keep changes to a bare minimum. Also there is no other centre demanding to be picked

If Kev is playing to instruction then he'll probably hang on for awhile it's probably about as simple as that for the moment untill the fog clears a bit

If Milne really can’t play left center for some unknown reason I’d look at Fonua (player left center for Tonga in their win against NZ) or MWZ and Nofa/Fonua on the wing. Apparently MWZ mainly played center for Penrith in nsw cup

I like Kev as a guy and he can be decent in attack but he was the one weak link in defence on Saturday and cause 2 horrible turn overs on early tackles

I'll preface this by saying as a human being, I think Kev is a great role model for kids. A humble, hard working fellow that tries his guts out. I just don't think that he deserves a spot in front of other guys. He is a depth player, shouldn't be a walk up start over others.
Our left outside backs are clearly our biggest weakness.I have zero confidence in Naquama & mwz.Neither player is a 1st grader & would b at the top of the opposition tip sheets re who to target in attack when playing us.

To make matters worse defensively we have Brooks generally defending inside of Naquama which exacerbates the vulnerability of our left edge defence.Nevertheless in IC we trust !

Brooks was great on the weekend defensively. I am also extremely worried about the left side. I think MWZ could fill a spot on that left edge but not with Kev inside of him. I want Fonua somewhere on that left edge a.s.a.p. Fonua is going to test every defence when he gets the ball. I know he looked shaky under the high ball last week and defensively he hasn't looked solid but you can work on that. His kick returns are I think close to the best in the game.

Personally I would have picked Milne this week. He is a known defender and thats what Melbourne are going to do..challenge our defence. We are not going to beat Melbourne with our attack or even get close, but our defence could worry them if everyone is on top of their D game..cant afford any weak links

Will b interesting to c how many tries we concede to there stupendous back 3.If the back 3 between them are scoreless it means we will b in this game up to our eyeballs.

Again like the roosters game we need to win the battle up front and make sure our goal line defence scambles like last week.

The Bulldogs gave them a decent game the intercept try to JAC was a 12point turn around. Last week we had a tactic of kicking to touch a lot I think we need to do this make those 3 not bring it back. Need to try and run traffic at the likes of Brodie Croft and try and get repeat sets.

You can play well against the storm and still get betten by 20 points in the end. It's a hard game to judge Clearys selections because say Naquama has a good game but then makes a poor read late in the game that they score off everyone's going to still jump on his back even though when playing the storm a full strength Cowboys team can struggle.

My main concern is how do we score enough points to even challenge the Storm. Even if our D is great we will not restrict them to under about 18 points

I know it’s easier said than done but we really need to rattle one of Smith/Slater to put them off their game. Bomb the shit out of slater early leave him no room for kick returns and smash him hard into the turf.

Get the big boppers running at Croft all day and limit JACs and the other wings involvement.

I’m confident our forward pack can match theirs. But it’ll be a tougher task than the Roosters pack last week

If we keep it close and lose by 1 or 2 tries, I think we’ll gain a bit of respect. A win would be a bonus of course

our undefeated premiership season is well on track.

As others have said, as long as we have a good dig we can all be proud of that, win or lose. We seem to trouble the storm for whatever reason. Tigers 6-4.

Us by a point, with Brooks kicking the winning field goal. Naiqama MOM.
We are carrying these 2 enormous liabilities & the storm will hence b targeting our left edge in attack.

Naiqama is more likely to b MOM for the storm. He should b playing for the magpies.

The day Brooks develops an effective all round kicking game including the ability to kick a clutch field goal is the day hell freezes over.

Heard from someone yesterday the reason Nofa was dropped was that he'd had a scrap with one one of the trainers after a session. Anyone know anything?
