Excellent win. Really had to dig in and earn it.

Everyone is going to snipe at Pearce as always, but he had to do absolutely everything in that match, and we got there. Crossland totally invisible, Hoy is a total plodder.

Best man of the match. Provided pretty much the only class in the backline. Hunt was good too. The forwards not as impactful as last week, but they were up against a much stronger middle in the Warriors too, and they did enough.

Once again he wasn't perfect, but he'll be getting some KOTW points by me. We don't win that one without Pearce either.

Ditto on this.
Pearce was good.
Hoy did nothing wrong. He backs himself a lot but gets nowhere.
Hunt had a lot of work to do and took it on well.

I think a lot of credit goes to our ball control in tricky conditions tonight, too. Both teams completed at a very high rate, and we absolutely had to to win it.

Hoy looks like a deer in headlights oftentimes to me. Overwhelmed. As i said earlier in the thread I don't think it's too much of a concern, he's like our 3rd choice long term. We're not sweating on him turning into a gun or anything.

For the life of me I don't understand why he doesn't torpedo bomb more. He did one and it got a great result.

MORE PLEASE

Congratulations fellas. Better team won. Pearce was the difference tonight. You had a half. We didn't.

Best was incredible. Brailey played really well in the middle of the park, especially on defence.

All the best for the rest of the season.

Thanks mate. It was a very tight game and the Warriors look like they will do well this year if they continue to play like they did tonight.

If Bailey Hodgson is half the player he's meant to be I wouldn't re-sign hoy.

He, Watson, Crossland and Mann are all off contract

I love the Warriors pack. I don't think it's necessarily an easy task to get over us in the middle this year, but there were plenty of periods in that game where they really got a roll on us. As aqua_duck said earlier in this thread, their back 3 really set a great platform for them too.

That was actually a really good contest. Really enjoyed that match.

Yeah, there's no reason to keep Crossland and Hoy in the squad with Hodgson here now and Clifford on his way. They just need to get us through this first month or so... and then pray for no more injuries.

If you look at all the mistakes especially early on all from either Crossland or Hoy who was out of posistion.Other than that great grind of a game

I am curious on how many set restarts were given to both teams.
I can’t remember us getting 1 and it felt like they got quite a few.
Our completion rate was over 90% and we still made over 100 more tackles.
