This is why I only post in the Knights forum now. There is genuine hostility and resentment towards our club in the other weekly gameday thread, like you said from the usual suspects. Our team is not part of the "in" club and never will be. We apparently only have 1 above average player in our team, we only ever win because the other team was poor, blah blah f*cking blah.

In saying that it wasn't the Roosters fans that were downplaying our performance, a lot of them showed class after the game and said we were the better team and deserved our win. I think the Roosters fans on here are a better bunch than some of the other supporter bases. They've never talked down our team, I guess they don't have to considering how much success they've enjoyed over the years.
Think a lot of it comes from the commentators. Watched the game again last night, and it sounded as though Voss and Roach were spanking the monkey whilst alternating between watching the game and looking at a photo of Nick Politis - sickeningly one sided commentary.

Only after it became obvious that we were in with a chance of winning after 1/2 time did they put their dicks away and describe what was in front of them.

True but there’s a difference between respect and constantly nut hugging the team you tipped.

I saw no evidence to be nervous. You
are going to get the usual suspects writing us off every week out of fear of being wrong, and in the so called experts arena. All last week we heard we were no chance. What happened when we won? Talking around it. Rationalising. Truth is we totally outplayed them and are an equal side. You don’t beat the Roosters by accident.

Out comes the usual Roosters were poor narrative. We will fade is another. On and on it goes. I think we beat the Tigers in every department. If we lose it will be because we beat ourselves first. The Storm were shot and they still could not finish them off. Three players injured and two season ending! No Grant and no Munster either.
To be fair, all the talk around our RD 1 performance that i read and heard was mostly that we played very well. The Roosters were obviously bad and we forced them into playing that way to a fair degree. In short they gave our boys most if not all of the credit for the win.

Now my worry is depth. If we lose one of Clune, Clifford or Ponga to injury we are in trouble as those positions are where we have the least depth. Centre and back row after that.

We keep everyone healthy and we can give the comp a good shake based on Rd1 but if we start getting injuries to key blokes then I dont have faith we can do a 2021 Roosters and expect our reggies to step up

This is such a danger game. There's quite a lot of people out there tipping the Tigers.. They weren't too bad against the Storm besides completely falling apart at the end of the game. They also get Tamou back which will help steady the ship.

They've got a good backline and some impressive young forwards on their day (as we found out last year).

This week is the first real AOB test.. Can he unlock that consistency from them?

How many times have we looked forward to a home game and a milestone game only to leave massively disappointed.

Hope we win but I think this will be tighter than a lot of people here seem to be expecting?

Yeah I think it'll be a close game aswell. I just hope we can play for the full 80 again.

I can't see this being a close game at all. It's our first game back home and it looks like we finally caught up to the new rules in terms of attacking structure.

AOB has always had the lads performing well but it was just in the wrong attacking structure. Joey will also have the boys pumped for this.

We will win this at least 18+.

The article says they are in doubt because they missed a training session on Tuesday.........for a game on Sunday

Surely players can miss a early week training session and not be considered "in doubt" to play 5 days later

Saw somewhere there’s talk of Maumalo missing a few weeks . But brooks most likely to play.
