Who is most likely the better winger, Mann or Ramien. It’s Ramien for me, why couldn’t he be left wing, would love to see him running kick returns back.
I’m just a frustrated fan that thinks he knows a little bit about the game but I seem to get selections wrong quite often.

Remember when Mann was going to be Brown’s starting hooker? Oh dear.

It'll more likely be Mann to move to hooker, Hunt to wing, Sione to centres if Watson went down injured

That does seem the most likely outcome.

It is also the most awful combination of “players out of position” ever.

Which is hard to do when you consider Kurt Mann is so “versatile”. Ugh.

I hate Brown’s selection policy. Every game, (this one assuming spoilers are correct).

And this is virtually a must win game, don’t care if those players won’t be here next year you must play your best ones while still in contention

I think it is because of Ramiens lack of involvement and errors lately along with the fact he appears to be woefully down on confidence.

Form is temporary and class is permanent- I'm sure he'll come good.

I don't mind any of the changes. Ramien is a surprise and wasn't on my radar as a possibility, but he's been shit for a while now and I'm happy enough to see it. Again, why is this guy in line for an upgrade? So far he's a 1-season wonder. Mann is lucky that Edrick is injured. It's good to have Fitz back. We need a team of 17 that is willing to defend first and foremost. Pearce, Watson and Kalyn can create us enough points to win if we can get some resolve back in D.

Bench is a bit light, we'll lose a bit of go-forward when Sione/Guerra come on in the middle... but at least we can rely on those blokes to keep turning up and making their tackles.

The backline shuffle to accommodate a rest for Watson is a bit shit as others have pointed out. I'm not sure it's much worse than a 12 minute spell for someone like Buhrer, though. I don't know why Brown is finding it so hard to find a hooker... although I do pretty much agree with his assessment that no-one he has put there has been up to it.

Anyone taking bets on how long it will be until Brailey is on the shit list?
Agree with the general sentiment that hooker is an issue for Brown... but do we honestly think anyone we have available here is a premiership winning hooker? Watson maybe if he committed to the role full time and improved his service game substantially

I've paid zero attention to Brailey thus far... but I would settle for a guy who can pass from the ground well, make smart decisions in good ball and can tackle for 80 minutes.

This would make a MASSIVE difference to our team.

Doesnt have to be the worlds best just a servacable young fella with a good attitude and plenty of tomorrows.

It seems to be a big ask, apparently. Judging by the recruitment of Mann, I think Brown rates himself pretty highly as someone who should be able to manufacture a hooker. Hopefully signing a more established NRL hooker (as in a guy who sees himself as a career hooker and is currently playing NRL level football) signals a bit of an end to the experimentation there. The great shame of it all is that Brown couldn't get Levi to kick on... because there's some good raw ingredients there. I don't know whether that's Browns fault or Levi's.

At the end of the day we all see that we have a hooker problem and a 5/8th problem. Hooker it seems we have an answer for pending our salary cap being sorted for next year. I'm not sure what we're doing for 5/8th... there's a lot of talk of us talking to Josh Reynolds. I've never been a big fan of him, but at least he'll turn up and compete hard if he does come. I actually don't mind Lino, and would like to see him get a decent crack at it for the next 6 weeks.

In many ways I miss Slade Griffin and wish he never did his ACL. Nothing flash but always did a job for us

Coach had fallen out of love with him too before injury, he was getting 20 minutes at hooker then moving to lock.

We are getting the worst brailey, I'm not confident he's a silver bullet.

Watson could be if someone told him he'll never be a 5/8 or fullback.

The worst as in he's no chop at all? We can't really pay every player in our spine a million a year. I don't really watch much NRL outside of our games these days, so I really have no idea about the bloke other than he's been playing hooker at the Sharks for a couple of years now.

I'd like to be optimistic that he can do a job there given he's at least a specialist hooker that is playing NRL football.

I don't think he's any better than Levi, just different. More Griffin-esque.

Any I'm no big Levi fan.

It's funny because I can remember everyone shitting on Griffin for perceived poor service.

Braileys bro is much more dynamic.

I think we are crying out for a more Griffin-esque player. Watson is dynamic off the bench. We just need someone stable who will lay a platform for the team. Levi is dynamic when on form but such a dud most of the time.

Levi gives 3/10, 20 games a year and 8/10 6 times a year. I just want someone who is a 7/10 every game because we have other spine players who are golden.

Opinions seem divided in the Sharks forum. Some prefer the older one, some prefer the younger one
