Yeah this is the infuriating part. They don't care to win, just go through the motions until the end of the game and head home.

If we want to ask why the team looks flat all the time. It’s probably worth mentioning that the guy we signed to be our Chief is playing a pretty passive role these days.

Sums it up for mine. When was the last time we saw Klem aim someone up for a big hit? He doesn't have to do it with the ball if he's stuck with the first hitup (which isn't really true anyway, he's generally play 3 or 4 after the backs have their go as far as my memory serves).

He's doing enough for people to not ask too many questions, but by his own standards you'd have to rate the season a C- at best.

But it's not to lay the teams form at Klems feet either. It's just another brick in the huge wall of reasons why we turn up with this dross far too often.

That was just ugly and doomed from the beginning with that last tackle kick by Pearce. That whole set no one wanted the ball and didnt want to support whoever had the ball.

I’m not meaning to start Klemmer-bashing in any way. Great player even this year which I’m referring to. Just think he’s playing within himself. I don’t know why it has to be one or the other.

I would love to see some stats on tries / line breaks conceded from attacking kicks. We somehow find ways to concede them constantly. I think we just lack basic football skills, the kicks are worse than park footy level.

Honestly, our form has been pretty consistently bad for a while now. I cop a bit of stick in some game threads when we're winning for pointing out how bad the opposition is - but it's just the truth. Most of our wins, especially in the latter half of the season, have come against some very, very poor performances from the opposition.

We're rarely competitive when the other team turns up.

Stats would say differently. But give me Waerea-Hargreaves over Aaron Woods any day. That’s the point.
