Watch some others halves Ted .. same shit mate . There isnt a lot of perfect 7's around unfortunately . Better off with one with ability and heart trying to change then another with neither .
Seriously play him at the Sharks for instance and he would be a different player. I just think he doesnt have many options at times so ends up doing nothing with it .
Can i just mention also , he used to link with Tedesco perfectly with his kicks and offloads but that has disappeared totally for some reason ? Almost like he has been told not to ..or he or Ted doesnt want to
So thats one less option he has
I'll grant him one thing & maybe credit must go to IC but he is more enthusiastic on the field than he was playing under the idiot Taylor who as an ex-halfback did nothing re Brooks's development.

The only reason I'm not giving up hope on Brooks albeit I'm not confident is that IC has faith in him delivering for us next season.

Lack of quality halves is a nsw thing imo.

You go to Queensland, they already have Cronk/JT as the top tier halves...then you have Milford/Hunt/DCE/Taylor/Munster etc waiting in the wings

Who do we have in NSW? we have Maloney then...I guess Cleary? (I don't rate Pearce at all)
....Morgan Norman. Its bloody infinite the no. of top draw halves from nth of the border.

Yep it's a killing QLD make with their top production of halves.

Deadset any of those QLD halves mentioned would get a walk up start if they were NSW.

It'd b great if Gamble plays well enough to join such an esteemed group while he's at tigertown.

The performance of our organiser will make or break our season in '18 coz for the 1st time in ages we have a pack with mongrel & size as well as a formidable 3/4 line.

It will b a favourable time to b a no.7 at Concord.

Watching gamble run around in qld cup he seems a runner not an organiser. It pains me to say but I believe brooks is also a runner of the ball and watching Moses kill it for parra being the main organiser makes me believe we got it wrong the whole time

How Taylor didn't give Moses the full reigns of the team and let Brooks chime in from time to time as me baffled. Arthur realised this after about 2 games

Exactly !

If dimwit Taylor had a clue the roles attributed to Moses & Brooks should have been obvious.

I know I've been harsh on Brooks & in fairness the blame should b prefominantly directed to imbeciles like Taylor who had no idea how to best utilise moses & Brooks based on there respective strengths.

Blind Freddy can c that Brooks isn't nor has the aptitude to b an effective organiser. The fear for us now is we've finally got ourselves a really good squad but still have doubts about the indispensable part of success which is an effective game manager.

It was transparent to us fans that the wanka Moses had the makings of a complete player. However it wasn't meant to be when u consider the fact that the money him & his fkwit cousin were commanding was outrageous.Additionally the tanking by this lowlife in the last few games for us displayed what a selfish destabilising influence he would've been had we retained him.

IC made the right decision coz its a TEAM sport which is a notion that's foreign to the grub Moses !!!

I still think Brooks beat season was 2014 under Potter who allowed him to roam and didn't completely reel his game in. If you remember we scored a number of tries off his short kicking game with Teddy and Simona in particular being the beneficiaries.

Taylor seemed to set him back years, holstering him purely on the left and then allowIng Moses to completely dominate him in the calls. I can also tell you as a matter of fact that early on in JTs tenure the halves weren't allowed to grubber as it lead to an increased possibility of a 7 tackle set.

Under IC we are already seeing Brooks return to his natural game. Here's a stat:

Brooks average runs per game under JT: 6.4

Under IC: 11.2

Coming through the ranks Brooks was always the higher rated out of him and Moses. Hopefully IC can get him back to that.
