If the players have quit on the coach (which seemed to be fairly obvious even before this saga) it's easy to work out who the problem is.

In true knights fashion I expect the club to make the opposite of whatever the correct decision is though.
They might try and get 2 birds with one stone here. AOB and Klemmer…

What about Hayden Knowles. Do we seriously think he’ll pack up and leave if Klemmer isn’t cut?

Whole situation is as bizarre as it gets.

Has Knowles even really added anything? Fitness is down, injuries are up

That’s tough to say. His resume is still one of the best and has proven results. Wouldn’t want to give him up just yet based on what we’ve seen this year.

The club is cursed with injuries.

The show cause thing might also have to do with talking to another club prior to November 1 - I don’t believe the deal came together after the game Friday, and Parramatta offered him a contract for 2023. If the Knights hadn’t given him permission to negotiate, then that’s breaching his contract.

Really good point actually. Maybe Klem has shot himself in the foot there.

Gardner won’t expose himself like that though. At least not at the same time.

Writing is on the wall, but they will find a way to make the two unrelated. Otherwise, he’d have to admit his own faults in judgment compared to the masses.

Wouldn't AOB be one of the first contacted about a decision on if he wanted to loan Klemmer or keep him for the season?

What actually does come across his desk? Doesn't sound like much? Which would be a good thing you'd think, seeing as he'd have sole focus on preparing the team...
His desk is covered in plans.

To be fair to Knowles most of the injuries have been injuries well outside his control, doesn't matter how great your strength and conditioning program is it won't mitigate against things like HIAs, broken arms, broken jaws, etc.
I wouldn't say fitness is down as opposed to motivation and desire, it's not like the players have been busting themselves so hard for the first 60 minutes that they've got nothing left by the end.

When we lose on the weekend, what options are available for a man in his mid 30s living in South Korea, to abuse the Newcastle Knights to hell's end?

The first substitution will be interesting…

what team actyally goes out this weekend will be interesting, if there are players backing Klemmer and taking a stance.

When is Parr’s first presser? Will be plenty of eyes and ears on him.

Anyone else at an age (whether young or old) where you start to wonder if you’ll ever witness another premiership win with this club?

Dont think any player will stand down in support as that would likely entail dismissal and not many in selected are good enough for other clubs to take them on especially as they would be regarded as troublemakers.

I’m starting to think we might end up being one of those clubs that goes 50+ years between premierships. We seem to take a step forward and two steps back every few years. The fact that after all these years of rebuilding we’re fighting to avoid another spoon just shows you how long this could take.
