No, your right. We will all sit on the sidelines and watch another smashing against our troops. No chance the crowd is going to invade the pitch this match and exact mob justice on the players.

Maybe that's not what you had in mind...

I would personally prefer to see Cory Denis replace elliot. Thats probably the only change I would make. Thank god we have ross back, the only player in our team that seems to make any metres and look half dangerous. Jezza will tighten up our D so hopefully we restrict them to less than 30.

I reckon every time we get over the 30 we go for the field goal.

So crazy it might work.
I actually had a similar thought during last weekends game. I think we were down 4-0 and got a penalty 10m out from Penriths line, we had already had quite a few chances down there and done nothing, so I actually wanted us to go for a goal.

I thought that was when we were 6-6, and I also thought it was stupid to go for the try. Given our attack it was right in front and a gift 2 points.

I saw the decision at the time as an admission of defeat. That the team knew they could not match it with other sides and be in the arm wrestle.

We came out in the second half, 6-6 and in the contest. Our defense had been competing and is what kept us in the game. As soon as they scored and took it to 12 - 6 we caved resigned to losing again and let in 38 points. Same story against the bulldogs, in the game at half time, we let in a try early in second half and drop our bundle.

This is a clear indication that the leadership in the team is failing. This is the time when the senior players need to be talking, organising, motivating. Instead at the moment they are quiet, resigned to losing.

I know we're all desperately waiting until this absolutely horrible season is finally over and any injury news from here on in is just gonna be met with: 'meh, who cares anymore', but I thought I'd update, via Barry Toohey:

Sione ruled out due to concussion and Mullen in doubt with a calf injury (colour me surprised).

I had came to the conclusion a while ago that we are absolutely cursed as a club. Not just this season but every season, nothing ever goes right for us, never. We've taken so much shit it's all just numb at this point.

Could be a record loss on the way. Can't see myself bothering to watch this one, but I probably will.
