Very poor effort from the individual responsible for that. A quick reminder that souffs hold themselves in high regard for the work they do with indigenous communities to him might make him think. But probably not.

Yeah, I wouldn’t read anything into that as a Souths fan but we all know they do. They would have walked out of ANZ thinking they had just won a GF when in fact they played a team that were not playing to make the 8 not avoid the spoon. No real motivation except it’s their weekly job to do better.

Totally agree. We’re generalizing here as there’s dickhead fractions in every supporter base but souths are by far the worst. Easily the most hostile and irrational I’ve ever come across.

I still remember when we played them in 2012/13 the week after Inglis KOed Dean Young in that sickening shoulder charge which left him unconscious and strectchered off. They played the highlights from that game on the big screen and all the souths fans cheered the loudest when that vision came on, then proceeded to yell obscenities about Young.

I had my 15 year old cousin (girl) come from the country to a game in 2011. She’s not even a Tigers fan, supports Saints, and had the nerve to wave cheer a tigers try. A souths fan sitting across the isle told her to ‘shut your f**king mouth’ literally all she did was cheer, didn’t say a word to anyone.

I went with a group of mates went to the March for souths in 99. A mate who’s a Dragons fan wore his saints jersey. Numerous souths fan abused him and called him ‘merged scum’, I don’t mean one, I mean this would have happened 20-30 times. He was there to support them staying in the comp FFS

I know they’re an easy target because they obviously have the lowest socio economic demograph of fans but looking at souths fans is what I imagine a trailer park in 1980s Alabama would have been like.

Some group of minimal-toothed Souffs bogans tried to fight me when I was at a game at about 14 years old. They were all 30+. Simply for wearing Tigers colours and saying nothing.

The really funny part about the world's bogan / redneck/ thongs and singlet subspecies is when they get together for a backyard pissup their conversation ( for want of a more accurate term) is all about the dickheads they've encounted. The crescendo of headshaking laughter usually peaks right about when one of them throws a gallon of petrol on the fire setting a couple of them alight. Really hard to understand that nature picked them as the winner in the race upstream

To add.....souths mob...last night they booed for a penalty like it was going to be the last boo of their life for the whole time they had the ball ....they were just on autoboo the whole time....amazing
