That was still not a very good performance yet we came home strong with a wet sail. The boys are clearly a lot fitter than they ever have been

to play poorly in the first half and then win the 2nd half 24-0 is something I have not seen from us in quite some time. Still a long way to go but it looks promising. Just hope Skelton and Fainu are ok now

We have played 3 pretty poor teams so far, however they are playing with much more resilience and pride than years past. We are not completely switching off for extended periods each game.

Our soft draw continues for the next month or so. The more we win, the more the confidence will grow.

Brisbane in Brisbane will be tough. If we can put up a good fight there, I’ll be convinced we’ve turned a corner

API was terrible early, missed some really shit attempts at tackles. Da Silva came on and set the tune. Scored a great individual try and got the momentum happening. Api come on when the cream was already rising and lapped it up
I missed most of the first half, but he won us the game in the end.

They were saying that API try was a set play, and it genuinely caught the Dolphins asleep they were up quick for the field goal. Genius move, probably should’ve kept it under wraps for the big games in September 😂
I find that hard to believe, it was a heads up play off the back of a strong Twal run, the hammer had completed the tackle and was rushing to get back into position leaving one marker on a clear field goal play. It was a very clever piece of play.

Im bloody happy with that effort.

The best thing about it is that we have a side that is competing for the 80 minutes. None of the first three games were champagne football by any means, but they compete.

Great to bag 4 valuable competition points when we are not playing great as well. It is a side that will get better as it learns to play together.

I can't wait for the Warriors game.

Watched the game again without the distraction of apprehension...unsung huge games...the reinvigorated Jack Bird...he gave it everything he could and has wiped my doubt about his signing RIGHT away!...Fanua Pole...worked very hard with fast PLB's that really helped get us on the front foot...I know he's been mentioned but Adam Douehi...he's an intelligent footballer and it's a credit to him how he's going after long outs with injury that would make many quit.i guess he talked the talk...now he seems to very much be walking it as well. Also that last try of Api's absolutely was a set play...watch it a couple of times and you will see the tackle before Api motioning towards the right post but he's making sure it's the dolphins who are seeing him setting for the field goal...then Jarome stands back in position but you can see he knows he won't be getting the ball...he's not primed for the kick whatsoever. Also his feigned short kick before sending Seyfarth in was pure ringmaster.

I think we needed it now, but I think it will always be hard to defend his guile.

Yes, I watched it again and confirmed we won again, you f**king beauty hahaha

Luai is not getting the accolades for winning games, but he does a lot of work off the ball, to make it all happen.

Doueihi's GK has been sensational.l

If we are looking for a centre, Farnsworth would be a good get.

Doueihi has been so good.

Farnsworth is an awesome centre.

Isaiya katoa was far and away the best half on the park. That was a million dollar performance. Galvin had some class moments but he is miles away from that level at this point in time.

Galvin is 19, give him time, he's doing OK imo.

Hed fkn better.. He was shit in the first half. And apart from the dummy from the Luai for the try Luai wasn’t far behind. In the first half Luai couldn’t find the gap with an in goal kick. 5 minutes later their was a yawning gap for the kick but he was spooked so he passed it and I think Galvin proceeded to mess it up.That lack of confidence is alarming....Against the warriors we could be 30 down by half time with what they served up. Galvins kick to the corner was diabolical this time right?
And in the second half unless I missed something apart from Galvins pass for the try??…
The halves play set and open from 5-10 out remains a problem..
We can’t wait untill Galvin is 21 as you imply

I see Bula joined in on the hit and hope kick from just 5 out. Geez you’d have to hope these guys practice these kicks if they’re going to pull them out that close to the line. They’re really easy you just have to connect your foot to the ball!

He is doing fine but it's like Stef was last year in that he is massively overrated.

Katoa is 21 and a weapon.

Galvin is nowhere near that level yet and might never get to that level.

The problem is for some reason some players get the media attention. Stef is the classic example. He has been consistently ordinary and he gets all this press and even got picked for SOO. Can you imagine how stupid you would have to be to pick Stef over May ?
