I'm hoping Musgrove comes in for Walters and Grant is able to punch out 80 min performance. Sharks have a really solid forward pack with an 80 min hooker...I'm a bit worried but if the boys can aim up I think we could see a surprise win
I think Walters will always be there or thereabouts...he might even give Benji a break later in the game if we’re cruising ...but yes any way to get Musgrove on..

Walters will play, with no MCK we have little in the way of insurance if a back goes down. The days of Lawrence playing no6 or wider are long gone. I think there will be plenty of rotation in the engine room over the rest of the season. Teams are going to need deep squads this year

Very interested to see how Grant goes this weekend. Hope he has a blinder and the break gives Smith the will to play on another year so Grant can void his contract in Melbourne. Having said that he'll probably them sign with another club.

Off memory, which admittedly isn't great the Sharks aren't a very good first up team?

Hopefully we have been working hard on our right side defence. It's been piss poor especially against Newcastle. Also looking forward to seeing what the pack can do.

Any news on Packer? I remember we were looking to try and medically retire him? Any late mail on that? I think he indicated he was against it and wanted to play on.

I'm a bit worried about the new 6 again rule and how we'll adapt to it, or won't adapt. It seems like it's going suit teams that can re-organise themselves quickly after a bust. Sadly, I can't see us being too crash hot here.

Based on everything, I see us finishing 12 to 16 on the ladder this year. We don't have a deep squad and our reaction to any kind of adversity is generally poor.

Hope I'm wrong though. Go Tigs!!

Have been seeing the packman in a lot of training pictures recently, quotes saying it’s the fittest he’s been since at the club but it could just be bluff. If that’s the case he could be coming off the bench in a few weeks time

He might be cardio fit but not match fit and match hardened so he will really feel the bumps and bruises as he's not playing week in week out. It's shame we couldn't have an extended benches to avoid this but that would cause another bunch of problems.

Not sure what you guys are finding but in my mates tipping comp (im only tigers fan) pretty much everyone has tipped us. On MMM last night they all tipped us too. Perhaps people are putting a lot of emphasis on the Xerri thing, or feel our side looks good on paper.

Yeah my oztag tipping comp and work one has majority tipping us aswell. I’m definitely not as confident, reckon sharks can easily ambush us like they did last round 2019.

I watched a preview show and they both picked Cronulla. Every game is tough in this comp. Cronulla have a good team.

I hope we win though.

Does anyone else feel like BJ will have a blinder today and question why we ever doubted him? Cause I do.

Tigers win 26-14

Dugan to have a permanent palm print engrained into his chest from BJ schooling him all game

Ive looked at the match ups, I guess I’m the only one thinking we will send them into the next footballing world.

Their interchange is like the lost world.

Chad is playing injured and we can only hope the perpetually spooked Moylan is called up for another shocker.

Pound for pound, their backs have nothing on us and we now have an attacking fullback. Benji has forgotten more about footy than their entire teams knows.

The smart money is on Tigers blitzkreig when their docile forwards start to tire.

I’m hearing whispers Brooks is under a lot of pressure in club circles at the moment. He needs a competent game, I think he knows that, so expect a little something extra from him.

We should be able to manage the game better than them, bustle, hustle and come roaring over the top of them in the second half.

Morris hasn’t managed the Xerri thing all that well. Spoke against him without speaking to him. Under the bus I think. Should have kept an open mind. At least called for calm and patience during the process.

I wanna see what a difference Brookes makes today He should create a few extra opportunities for Garner. ..and with his inevitable line breaks a few extra opportunities for the boys to create havoc..

For the first time we’ve got Game right across the team except for a couple of positions in the backs..that’s not usually a problem for winning teams.

...Really looking for Seyfarth to cement a starting spot with his extra weight..

I’m not a forward expert but I don’t mind Ollie Clarke he seems like he can make opposition players see stars when he wants. Also having an ex prop as a loose forward is always good. I think Garner is a natural and close to being jaw dropping good. However IMO he just needs to be more menacing with his runs. Like not expecting to be tackled menacing. He’s got enough players around him to copy if he wants to see how it’s done.

We’ve got enough sting in the forwards and razzle dazzle in the backs to really make a statement today. Id like to see Benji go out with a bang..How big a bang I think we will all see today ..there’s really no excuses now...Looking forward to turning a few heads
