That was an outstanding second half. Cronulla were equally as shit as we were good but you can only play what's in front of you. The better teams will smash us down the right side in defence and I can't understand why Cronulla didn't continue to go after us there. They did have bugger all ball on our line though, mostly through our good play and much better kicking game in the second half.

AD looked good and once he's got a half dozen games under his belt at FB will be even better. Even Jennings had a decent game. Grant was fantastic, as was Walters when he came on. Everyone looked energised and enthusiastic in the second half.

I know he scored one and was heavily involved in another but I thought Nofo was pretty poor. They were kicking into his corner all night and he barely made a dent coming out of our end. He's just too small to be an elite first grader. He makes more run metres sideways than forward. Goal kicking will again cost us at least 3 games this year.

Very happy with the effort and execution of the second half. I've got a couple of mates who are big sharks fans and I'll enjoy needling them all week.

I'll take it.

They fell asleep for the last 30 of the second half, but played good controlled footy.

Lets hope they keep up that intensity over the course of the season.

I think as long as we complete high %% we will be ok, because we really suck at grinding and defending for long periods at a time. It’s in the Wests Tigers DNA

After we went up 10-0 we kept looking for the fancy play rather than just smashing it up the middle and completing sets.

We need to learn how to build pressure rather than just score off every play

It's so frustrating the right side is so bad in defence because we seem pretty good in most other aspects. Unfortunately, I can't see us playing finals while we gift two tries minimum down that side every game.

But, and there’s always a but..........they need a goal kicker.

Walters got them moving forward when he came on, how lucky is with his old man when he needs advise on the halves play and uncle Steve for the dummy half plays.

Twal was fantastic, Ollie Clark did his job. As above re Allo.

What I liked about tonight is 17 players had areal dig. There was the odd individual blunder, but by the end everyone contributed to the win. Loved the no9 rotation and loved the enthusiasm in the forwards.

Thought AD made a couple of really hard dirty runs when we were under heaps of pressure that seem to lift the team. Anyway we have our bogey team next week so be interesting how we back it up

Could Tommy Talau come in as centre/wing down the right side?

Im not sure if the wing is Talau's go but I like the idea of a replacement.
Nofoaluma gives his absolute best but he got smashed on the first hit up about half a dozen times tonight.

The Broncos set the precedent for wing play in the 90's with Sailor and Tuqiri. There is excuse for playing small wingers. You need hard runners from the back.

That was a good win. Our pack were pretty darn good. Aloiai & Mikaele were great in the middle. Twal worked hard all game. LL & Garner are good edge players who have an impact. Grant was really good. Benji and Brooks killed it off the back of that play.

Nofo is a beast. AD looks likely.

LL & Garner swapping sides from Rd 2 was a good call.

I think Musgrove has to play for Seyfarth next week.

Would have liked to see Musgrove on the bench but overall a good game.

Goalkicking is still a big problem, and I just feel we have a serious lack of pace throughout our backline.

A goalkicking strike outside back would be a godsend for us.

BJ and Nofa need to work on their defence because f**k me it was bad

I thought it was a good start first up from a long lay off. Apart from BJ and Nofa defensively nothing was overly terrible and there was lots of promising signs. Goal kicking is a worry too although Mbye should be first choice not Benji.
