Wasn't expecting that result. Love the resolve. They had a bad game last week - obviously very disjointed due to the sudden spine changes, but they obviously worked hard all week to improve. Can't ask for more than that.

Excellent games from JSaf and Dom. I thought McEwan was outstanding too. He's struggled a bit to start the year but he was genuinely a wrecking ball today again much older and experienced players.

The Doggies had a fair few of our lads
AOB
Tuala
Kiraz
King
Mann

Good to see us get one of AOB especially for some reason. Does Elliot have a club? He seemed really happy and mixing well with the boys after the game. Could use another middle!

This game just puts another hammer in Gambles coffin. Last week he took on the role of lead half and was so far behind the pace it wasn't funny. Sandon well and truly owned today. That play out of dummy half to set up McEwans break was sublime vision

I can't quite work out where everyone was playing when he came on cause Peen and Crokes were both still on the field.

Wherever they were playing, it worked

Not to be a negative Nelly but I think McEwen needs a spell in Reggie's to work on his defence. He's going to be a great 1st grader eventually but I think he needs to just step back for a bit and work on his confidence in contact.

Was really obvious in the 2nd half and the dogs spotted him up heaps

Last week wasn’t on Gamble. Saying that though he wouldn’t be my first choice half obviously.

We actually initially signed Sandon to play 9, so I’d expect him to have good vision out of dummy half.

Gamble was close to our best player last week, he had a better game than Sharpe did today for example.

Difference was warriors forwards daddied us for 80 minutes.

He had a really bad miss on Burton, but I think you just need to ride it out. He's not going to get better playing against cup scrubs.

Also Cant is probably next in line for that spot, so yeah nah.
It was far more than that. They peppered his edge on early plays and got miles of yardage going through his channel.

He 100% needs to work on it and NRL isn't the place. He'll gain confidence in Cup and it won't be against scrubs

ESL should get a run. Cant has been playing in the middle

Wonder if any issues with McEwen’s defence stems from not having confidence in Smith? We had Lucas having issues with defence last week when Smith was on his side.
If that’s the case, hopefully they can just work on it together. It shouldn’t be an issue when Brown comes back.

That was extremely satisfying to watch. A very old fashioned Knights performance and up there with our best away wins of the past decade.

We did look flimsy once the Dogs straightened up their attack in the second half but the difference is we aimed up and found ways to fight back. The fact is this is a game we comfortably lose last year. Our best players are still out and some others seem to be kicking on. Great signs.

AOB absolutely sucked. We all knew it but now it's confirmed. This is a different side under Holbrook.

I just watched the highlights of the match (long time since i've said that). I can't remember seeing an energy about this team like it since the back end of 2023. Seeing Dom in full flight again, in particular, was so reminiscant of that streak. There's real belief there again. If we can just jag another win or two before Dylbro gets back, we'll really be cooking up a fantastic year.

It's great to see the team not waiting for the big guns to get back, too. They're getting stuck in and making their own mark on matches. God can we just get some luck with injuries in the back half of the year? KP has that look about him again - he just needs to be healthy. With the help he has around him now we might see him go to a level we've never even seen before.

Sandon's play to put McEwen and Dom away on the short side was such a massive play. I thought we were f**king gone.

We are 4 games in to a 27 round season, and we've already reached half way of our total wins from 2025.

Sorry that was probably a lot to absorb. In short, how good is it that we already have 3 wins for the season, after just 4 games.

Special performance today. Well deserved victory. The scoreline flattered the Dogs with the 2 arsey tries they scored. The play from Smith and McEwen to set up Dom was massive and was the turning point.
