We've gone for the keep it simple game plan and we're still making a million errors. It's so much worse when the mistakes happen when you're not even trying to play any football

Very uninspiring before the injuries. We might actually see some initiative with the ball now

From who? The bloke the coach has inexplicably left on the bench? Kurt Mann?

The only hope for points I can really see is something coming from Connor running around like a chook with his head cut off. To be fair, it often works.

We've played some really ordinary opposition, too. How many points do you think the Panthers, Eels, Canberra, Bunnies put on us in our current "form"?

We're going to need a lot more from Green this year than we thought we already needed. A lot of hope to be pinning on a 34 year old bloke coming back from a knee reconstruction.
Once again, bit unfair... You know we play to the level of our opposition haha.

Trying to remain positive. Let's see how this half unfolds.

The answer from a smart team here is to look at who you still have on the field - realise that the pack is our ONLY strength here, and just play around the ruck. Hard up in the middle until the big boys are drawing a lot of defenders and short passing around the ruck. I mean, it would have worked last week too (hell, we scored twice when we did it). It'll work most weeks with our pack.

Also - Brailey needs to take a bit of responsibility for steering the team from hooker here without Pearce. He's been great individually, but can he fill that roll?

100% this. But are we smart enough?

Oddly, I actually feel a bit better with Mann slotting into fullback. Should be a lot safer than Hoy.

Big run by King there, makes up a bit for earlier. This is how we win, through our middles.

Wow that was soft - and not against us! Nice feeling.

7 point lead is huge, but it also means the Dragons will throw everything at us now. This is where we'll really need leadership and direction.

Geez that's bad defence from the Dragons though. Truly shameful actually. Still, take advantage of it. Hammer them up the guts.
