They have a computer draw a digital line across the field.

The reason I referred to the offside rule in that instance with Cobbo is because I thought the receiver was a step in front of Cobbo at the time he passed the ball. It was either a forward pass or he was offside. 😂
Yeh it would be perfect to detect offside cases for kicks downtown and especially bombs.
Digital imaging accompanied by all sorts of tech like gps could actually show the red line square for within 10m or a straight-line for offside which turns green for ok and red for not. The bunker can cycle through all the players quickly and we just see the end result.
It would get tricky to detect both feet behind the tryline for D or halfway line for kick offs but it would just need tweaking.
Players wear gps units on their shoulders to monitor players run meters so it could be incorporated with that.
How they use it to detect forward passes is tricky because it has to detect if the ball has left the passes hands backwards.
Still, very interesting Pezz, cheers mate.

Fyi nrl injury count equals 80 a bit over a month into the season. The carnage has to stop
As I said when I quoted the rules of the game TSP, wind has nothing to do with it. It's so simple, the ball just has to be thrown in a backwards direction.

Mate, when you said 80, is that the number of cases or a percentage and are these injuries all from foul play.
If it's from foul play then the penalties have to be appropriate to deter offences, like you said, something has to give.
I would have thought the crack down on hip drops and no direct contact to the head would have reduced the injuries, at least a percentage compared to prior the crackdown.
I think in a law suit, a decline in numbers would save the game's necks.

I still don't think there is corruption going on. Too many things to catch you out, like mobile phones and cameras, internet, word of mouth. It only takes one disgruntled punter or official on the take to say something and the media jump on it with their company's bosses paying big $ for information.
The easiest game for corruption is boxing as boxers can take a dive but it has been cleaned up big time for the same reasons I've stated.
Even years ago, without all the tech, the Fine Cotton Affair was found out.
Players on the otherhand, and not officials, can take a dive so to speak. You see it now when they stay down after they have been clipped on the chin.

One thing that was clear is that Madge sent his big guys out there to throw Terrell off his game by bashing him...maybe even to rile him up...full credit to him.with how he handled it. Having a couple of our big guys walk through there's like they were weeds to score was a pretty good reply ..thought we handled Haas as well as anyone probably could. Happy enough despite the score

I think the commentator on Fox summed it up when he said Brisbane have got all the 50/50 calls go their way, throw in the six again repeats handed freely to them, its no wonder they won ,still it was a good effort by the WT and its early days but we still have to be better in all departments.

  • The Knights have won their past seven games against the Tigers.
  • Wests Tigers have won only one of their past five games at McDonald Jones Stadium.
  • Knights five-eighth Fletcher Sharpe has scored five tries in two games against the Tigers.
  • Wests Tigers fullback Jahream Bula has scored three tries in three games against the Knights.
  • The Knights are ranked the second-best defensive side in 2025 but are 17th in attack.
Time to smash the hoodoo.

Api practicing GK, not sure that isn't just standard practise for though? Should be.
For sure. There should be at least 4 players in the team who practice all the time. You never know when you might get called on and it's always good to have the reps in. I'd assume it would feel natural and give you confidence if and when you have to step up.

Racking my memory here, but I think we have won every game when we had our starting team playing?
Which probably shows a lack of depth.
But we do have it this week again, unless they are covering up someone.

It would certainly give me some confidence re our top 8 aspirations if our NSW cup team weren’t permanently coming last.
