It's sooo obvious that this season is all about energy, quick hits ups, quick play the balls.
Manly blew the Eagles off the park before half time on Thursday night.
The new bench system is important.
If you lose a key player, you replace him with a similar player.
Tigers have a better bench and that could get them home.

How do u work that out they scored 20 points against panthers and should have been more, but u think they can only score 2 tries against Wests, ur defence is nothing like the panthers, I think we’ll score a lot more than 2 tries, not meaning a win, but a lot more than 2
Tigers are defending well, if they keep up the energy, they could keep the eels to 2 tries and our edge and spine has points in them.
I predict the Tigers to score 5 tries to 2.
Footy is unpredictable, like the weather, so who friggen knows.

Is it going too far to say, it's a 'must win' game if we are to make the semi's rather then 10th?

I'd go one step further and say virtually every game against a team currently outside the top 8 is a must win game. I don't expect us to win against the Broncos or the Roosters, but there are so many times we've dropped games against teams we should have beaten and it's come back to haunt us at the end of the season.

Have you noticed Fordy that all the winning teams so far are just playing quick tempo footy.
The speed in which the attacking team is playing is attributed to the amount of 6 agains and offloads are more prevalent.
Sir Alex just might get the man of the match tomorrow 😀

This is a crucial game. No matter how well or how poor we are going, the Eels somewhat give us a reality check this time of year. Last year, our season pretty much fell apart in this game. We are in a good enough place to give them a fight. Im actually tipping us to win a tight one.

The lads always give us hope then we, as you say, get a reality check.
I actually wouldn't mind going through the whole season being ultra competitive and without being belted or humiliated. Is there a chance that this might happen?

With the nature of the way the game is played and reffed, I think even Penrith will get rolled at some point. It is a different game to even 10 years ago where you truly had to be a shit team to give 50 points away. Some decent teams will (and have) concede 50 points this season.

I think there are 16 other clubs (and supporters) who hope we do.

My hope for this year is to:
1. Be competitive.
2. Finally get back into the top 8 at the pointy end.
3. Once point 2 is achieved, then win a game or two while in there.

But the results are already showing things are pretty unpredictable this season.

I think we are building to be a standard fixture in the finals series for years to come, and of course, eventually win the major prize. Luai wants more rings rings than the chin haha

It's possible. I don't think they'll get rolled but beaten yes. Remind me of this post if I'm wrong Wiz 😄
Over the last 10 years we have been beaten by at least 50 points 6 times which is not a good strike rate, and we won't mention the 70-0 romp by the cowboys 😭.
The speed of the ruck atm is so fast that the team with the most energy will usually win. We are fit and that's why our points diff is good.

Crucial as fk.. This could be the turning point we’ve been waiting for, for a long long time..or just another illusion. W42 - 22 . That’ll put us at 2nd on the ladder after 5 rounds !

I did a weird thing and pretended I was a player after I went to bed last night.. I felt pretty determined to stop the rot. Hopefully they are all consumed with that same thought

'Sir Alex" rises to the challenge again.
Hunt continues to play with more confidence.
Madden has to set up Hunt for a crash ball near the posts.
KPP is a gem of a signing.
