We've go this.

Should be a good game.

On paper I think they are in a distressed state, but they are very well coached.

Timely test for Benji, see what he conjures up.

This is pretty much our best side and I’ll be listening to hear if they play in harmony.

if we can’t bring it home, I’m re-opening the Sack Benji cupboard because it’s unacceptable.

No doubt Richo has had a quiet word to him re expectations & he’d have a contingency prepared if things go pear shaped

Yeah, I think he knows all about the expectations because he was at pains to tell us that he was a rookie coach last year…multiple times.

That means expectations ( which he wasn’t meeting), were in his mind.

Otherwise he wouldn’t bother raising it.

I’m not sure there is a benchmark from Richo.

The market saw us 10-12 inclusive. I haven’t updated that yet.

One of the main contingencies is the boys and their feelings, because he’s dug in hard with them emotionally.
All this “love who they are” rubbish. He’s digging in.
Smart from his perspective, but not necessarily good for the club, as we want a clean departure when he falls off the coaching coil…whenever that is!

For us forum hoppers here, spreading the gospel of the Wests Tigers, doing our bit, we can tell you, no-one, not a single soul, beyond some of us here, wants Benji as their coach. It’s quite bleak out there for him.

They want his players, they may like Richo ..but not Benji.

I’ve said if he goes, he resigns and blesses the club on his exit. I don’t want a scene!

I support Benji, but I’ve seen a few worrying decisions the last couple of weeks in terms of managing the team in game day. I think the team is on the improve but just like a few players have to get a few silly things out of their games Benji needs to get some out of his too.

Rd 1 result doesn’t matter. New team, missing some stars and ironing out the kinks. They got in each others way a lot. Knights had a number of blokes making linebreaks with ease and we only went down by 1 try.

I think we’ll flog Newcastle on their own patch on Sunday, then do the same to Parra on theirs the week after.

Re flogging knights & Parra we should but we all know that we won’t

If we win this game we'll be 3-3 which would be a good start to the year and our best in 5 years. Id broken to the start of the year down to the first 7 games and thought we needed to be 4-3 through what looked a decent draw. Win Sunday and there's every chance we are. Lose and we go 2-4 which would have us chasing our tail for the next 3-4 weeks.

It’s pretty bizarre that we play the knights and the eels again so soon.
It’s only R6 & R7.
Because the NRL wanted to protect the game by having two teams who dont know how to win, play each other, thus providing top notch entertainment.

I heard on the radio that Luai is out. Is this true?
I only caught the tail end of the program so they may have been talking about this suspension last game and not injury.

They must have been talking about his suspension, cheers Vic.
I'm hoping everyone are fit and healthy and rip in.
We are still waiting for a full strength team to gel and pull apart the opposition.

Desperately waiting for “Tigers Unleashed.”

Bula at the back, good in defence and in attack.
Tito flying down the wing, the stealth, the speed , the sting!
Here comes Mr Toa, ready to smash, a goer!
AD or not to be, with strike and kicks to see
Skels our seasons pride, ciraldo tried to hide!

TBC.

Just watching the broncos v rorters game. Why do the refs react so much to a bit of push and shove. Get on with the game and let them throw handbags at each other. They'll stop carrying on when they realize that the game has moved on up the field.
