The shittest thing re injuries is that over the past 2 years big name opposition players continually come back early against us. Now Nathan Cleary has ear marked our game as his return, which will be 3 weeks earlier then originally scheduled.

This is a massive game for us. If we are going to be any type of force which I hope we are, we need to come back from that Knights loss strong. I really don't care if we win by 1 or 100 but we need line speed in defence and to hit and stop them up the middle. Two things we did poorly last week.

Having Rowdy back will be a bonus. At the end of last year I was ready to give up on him but this year he has run strong and always poked his head through the line. Unfortunately Twal getting hurt seems to cancel this out. On paper it looks our weakest pack of the year so they'll need a massive effort.

Go the tigs!

Aloai and MCK are 2nd rowers. I know Aloai can play in the middle but he doesn't make the same impact there as he does in 2nd row. I'm hoping one of them drops out and we give Grant a run. Without Packer we need more grunt up the middle - you could really see how much we were missing this in the Newcastle game

Strong rumours going round Fonua will make his debut this weekend. Wonder who misses out?
If Mwz isn’t injured it would have to b Nofa.It continues to b Groundhog Day down Nofa’s wing. For his opposition winger Nofa is the gift that keeps on giving.

Personally I wish we had 2 quality wingers somewhere in our ranks coz both Nofa & mwz r the teams biggest liabilities.

I want Nofo to stay and Fonua to take the left wing. That will give us power on both sides. Unfortunately it's going to give us some errors on both side as well.

Is it really nofos fault though or is it his inside men, one of the tries on his wings I recall Marsters rushing up and making a bad read leaving nofo 2 on 1

Agree Nofa wasn’t solely to blame for all 3 tries down his wing.I just hope for his sake we can eradicate the chronic leaking of tries down his wing coz I’d rather our best attacking winger play in our NRL team.

No doubt that’s our best combination from an attacking point of view. However does IC have faith in there defence & Fonua’s ability under the high ball particularly as he is vertically challenged.

Who knows. From what I saw in ISP Fonua and Nofo are at about the same level defensively but Nofo looks a little quicker with less impact in his first hit-ups. Fonua belts it up.

The problem with being on the wing is that if other guys stuff up you get left stranded.

Apparently MWZ shoulder injury

Ivan seems to be very cautious with injuries. Apparently Lawrence could have played last week but they didn’t risk it. Might be the same with MWZ and Twal

When you've got solid depth there is no reason to risk your players for long term injuries. I'm wondering if Ivan is using this as a way to cycle through players and determine what our true best 17 is

I think we will struggle. The refs have given up on the play the ball and the ruck speed is now twice as quick as it was a few weeks ago and our defence goes to water when teams get quick play the balls. Also signs of the grind kicking in and Parra are a very good side when they get into gear
