Good to win, but we actually dominated the game should’ve put 30 on them. If we can keep up that sort of intensity, the points will come. Off that game were a chance to string a few together, the next 4 are games we can win if we play like today or against souths. Not getting my hopes up but......

Another ordinary performance but I'll take any win at the moment. Good debut from Cini. Hopefully the last we see or Roberts.

We are pretty shit right. Tamou hasn't been a good signing and him and Twal don't have any impact together. Our bench forwards were much better than our starting forwards. They have to change that.

BJ can play but he has been crap. Laurie and Doueihi were good.

Cini deserves a mention. He was great. Well done.

Our attack is so ordinary it’s embarrassing ,Saints missed many tackles plus they were depleted by injuries out wide and we still couldn’t put a large score on the board.

I said before when needed an ugly win just to start again and that was it. You could see the confidence starting to come back in that last 15 minutes. Even BJ looked good in that last 15.

but it all means f**k all if we don’t back it it up next with an improved performance.

our bench forwards completely outplayed our starting forwards though, we need to get that mix right. Twal needs to add something to his game because he got smashed in almost every tackle

Utoikamanu is starting to bend the line consistently, gets his arms free a bit, looks like he has made big improvements lately. Even in games where we’ve been well beaten I am starting to notice him make inroads. Mikaele not as flash but he has a real go when he comes on. Really promising for two young blokes

Stef and Mikaele had an impact but so did Seyfarth. I don't know why Mikaele was dropped. You need forwards getting you some momentum.

When he was in second grade, they said he was brought down to get more minutes in his legs, as he spells were in FG were not very long?

Surfs up tonight!

TSPs kids get an extra 20 cents to spend at the school canteen tomorrow.

The mutts get extra woofy treats

BJ did his best to blow the game, but even he couldn’t manage it.

I get another week of muffed try magic to bore you all with.

Yay.

Happy with the win

our first 20 was very poor, Saints line speed was all over ours. I thought they really stuffed up by taking 2 shots at goal. When both teams bench forwards came on ours were significantly better then theirs.

We grew into the game and in the end we’re by far the better team, our attack is still disjointed and the 7 seems all at sea, 8 points was flattering to Saints.

Cini was good however made me angry we had Kepeoa there for so long and even MCK last week.

Doeihi was phenomenal, we have a really good player on our hands here. I really think this guy could get to Origin level in another 18-24 months.

As Madge said this means nothing if we don’t back it up next week. The tail in this comp is disgustingly long. We have 4 very winnable games coming up.

It’s nice to get a win but let’s be honest it was ugly, we play most other teams today and we lose.
The attack was clueless at times and with the exception of the Cini try, the set plays were pedestrian and predictable.
1st try was lucky,
2nd try was good play,
3rd try was stock standard catch and pass with a bad missed tackle on BJ.
Apart from that, we looked aweful with the ball.
Defence-wise it was hard to tell as they threw f**k all at us. They made pretty easy ground when they did complete sets though.
All in all, we dominated possession/field position, Saints were woefully out of form, and we got them be 8, crossing the line just 3 times. Pretty average stuff.
