There will be a number of variables that will contribute to determining the outcome of this one. It should be a very close game, and could easily prove to be our greatest test this season to date.

Go the mighty Roosters.

So far so good. 22 to 6 at half time.
Tough game.

Fatigue will definitely affect the big boys. Both fullbacks will be dangerous if given room to move.

Golden point blows chunks big time. [What dickhead introduced it? Sounds like something Greenberg would do]
As much as I dislike the Storm, both teams deserved a point.

Crap, Melbourne just got a penalty right in front. Bugger it.

Boyd should have stayed down and not tried to play the ball, but he probably wasn't thinking straight after getting his brains scrambled.

If a player is KO'd in a tackle they should get someone else to play the ball. It's unfair to call a knock on against someone who is doing the chicken dance and doesn't know it.

fully agree, a point each, 80 mins is enough,
players welfare is the most important thing

Exactly. And even more so with how the new rules have sped the game up.
The forwards would be absolutely spent after 80 minutes.
forwards were gassed out, thats the most vulnerable time, when the wrong decisions are made, players get hurt. at the most weakest time, 80 mins is enough, players are not robots

Interestingly in the post match conference Robinson didn't blame fatigue, he said the players were well trained to be able to handle golden point.

I'm not a fan, but as long as the TV companies want it, it'll stay.

I'm more pissed at the Boyd Cordiner knock on which lead to Melbourne's win. A player who gets KOd in the tackle, and who is obviously out on his feet is called for knock on :/
A bit of common sense would be for another player to play the ball while Boyd goes off to get his head checked.
V'Landys...please change this rule asap !

We made too many mistakes in the 2nd half in particular to win the game. Hopefully this lose will
illustrate what is required, a win could have covered over the cracks.

Agree, Morley, we needed that loss, if you could call it that.

I too am in favour of a draw after 80 minutes. It worked well for about 95 years, and it is about the only thing that I agree with Wayne Bennett on.

Both teams played well and deserved premiership points. Well done.
